Unresponsive Front Desk/old rooms

Posted Aug 10, 2017
Pros: Guy in breakfast area was very nice. Good location
Cons: Just about everything, certainly attitudes towards solving customer complaints.
Air conditioner did not blow air and it was hot. Told two different people first thing the next morning. They said they would get maintenance on it while we were out for the day. Got back at 5 pm and problem still existed. I went to the front desk and found they had not done anything and said "thanks for telling us we will call maintenance" Then they proceeded to explain, "the blowers are just weak" on these A/Cs. B.S. The thing was just a whisper of air. The guy then told me I could open the windows. FOR $366 a night? Are you kidding me? I told them to just forget it. These folks are nice but if there is a problem, they could care less. Heard them speaking the same way to other customers that had other complaints. P.S. The next day we stayed in Salt Lake. Room had the exact model A/C and it blew like crazy. Guy at this place was full of it. They certainly didn't offer another room or price adj. Rooms were mediocre too. Breakfast not very good.

Older Overpriced Hotel

Posted Aug 9, 2017
When constructed in the 1940's this probably was THE place to stay in West Yellowstone. The hotel was OK. It was clean but it's dated and definitely not worth $400/night. We only stayed here because it was the only hotel available at the time we booked.

Pros: Staff was great Room was clean Location is as good as it gets in West Yellowstone
Cons: Beds were hard and uncomfortable Could smell cigarette smoke in walls and furnishings Common area carpeting was a safety hazard
This hotel is pretty old and was probably remodeled 10 years ago. Taking that into mind, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. (The guy in the breakfast area was awesome!) The location is great, close walking distance from most of the restaurants and shops in town and easy access to the Yellowstone west entrance. The things I had an issue with: - The beds were terrible. Very hard and could feel the springs. - Even though this is currently a no smoking hotel, I'm sure at some point in time it was not and I could still smell the faint hint of stale cigarette smoke embedded in the walls and furnishings. This really bugged my wife to the point we cut our stay a day short just so she didn't need to stay another night. - The carpeting in front of the reception desk was old and buckled. I caught myself and my family stumbling over it several times.

A great place to start your tour of Yellowstone

Posted Aug 7, 2017
Pros: Good location -- plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance -- even a small supermarket. Short drive into the park.
Location: Yellowstone!
This hotel was really cool. The kids found the lobby, decorated with antlers and displays of local stuffed wildlife fascinating and the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about everything Yellowstone. The pool and sauna were great and breakfast was plentiful and a comfortable experience with lots of seating and space. We stayed only two nights but I would highly recommend the Stage Coach Inn for anyone visiting Yellowstone National Park.

Location

Posted Aug 7, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Bath room counter is so small but there is no space to improve it. They have only one sink without much space around it to put anything.
Location: There are many shops in walking distance. But I like most is we could easily approach to west gate of Yellow Stone park.
Only good thing about this hotel is close from the West Gate of Yellow Stone. And we could walk around the commericial area. Bath room is so tiny and room is very small. Room looks old and have not been updated. Besides room rate is pretty high. Nevertheless, there is not much choice in the area. Judging from outside look, other inns nearby looked worse than our hotel.

When we use the washing machine, staff doesn't exchange the coins to me,and says you need to go to supermarket outside to exchange. That isn't a good idea.

Stagecoach Inn West Yellowstone

Posted Jul 27, 2017
Pros: Clean room, staff response to needs, good breakfast.
Cons: Entrance is full of stuffed animals, very impressive but there is a slight aged smell - not in the rooms.
Location: Great location for the Park, Bullwinkle's Restaurant, 3 Bears Restaurant, Ernies good places to get food. Lots of t-shirt shops and souvenir shops.
Stayed 5 nights while in Yellowstone - older motel but clean room, good breakfast, good location near Yellowstone, staff responded quickly to need for extra towels, refreg. not working (repaired), I would stay here again even though the cost is high due to location near entrance to Park.

nice hotel

Took a road trip from Texas. It is a very nice hotel pricey but understand for the location. They offered free breakfast but didn't eat because we wanted to bet the crowds in Yellowstone. The staff where nice and friendly but I had problem understanding her. The hotel is in a great location for local shops and restaurants. If I ever attempt to go the Yellowstone again we'll stay there again
