Hardly slept due to plumbing noise throughout the night. On advising staff told they knew and it was being fixed. No compensation offered so, no return.

Easy to get to and great parking. Check in via self service desk is a real pain especially when you have done this already online. Limited staff so waited at bar as he was on the service desk checking guest in.

Average hotel . Over priced
Over priced limited bland menu. Very over priced rooms. The car park was an ice rink, no effort was made to make it safe.

Rooms well presented Mattresses are a bit uncomfortable (i’m used to memory foam) Menu could do with review 2 negatives Fire alarm went off at approximately 7am on both days Dinner service - my ‘minute’ steak took over 45 mins to be served (the staff didn’t once come over to explain why there was a delay) but were very friendly and quick to bring you drinks…. Every cloud and all that…

Good hotel
Pretty much everything was fine. The welcome could’ve been a little friendlier and I thought it a bit unusual to charge for early check in if your room is ready, £10 per hour. Breakfast was very very good and the room was perfectly comfortable. Shower was excellent.

From the outside and in reception, its a nice modern looking hotel. Rooms however are dated and are overdue some TLC. Toilet did not work correctly. Poor lighting in room and cleanliness not great. Breakfast quality quite poor

Difference between room types
This was my second stay. 1st time i had a standard room. Second time inpayed for a superior room becausebthatbwas thebonly room left. Unfortunately i couldnt see and differences between the rooms.

Great location, spacious & clean room. Lovely shower. I would stay here again due to location and facilities. Only negative - being double charged for the room - I did get my money back after calling the hotel.

Colleagues room wasn't decorated, plaster board on walls etc. Reception area ok but rest of the hotel was in desperate need of a refurbish. Must add there was a team of people decorating however to be charged the amount for our stay did not reflect the state of the place. I stay in Huddersfield alot and would not stay here again until refurbished and only if i had to

The corridor where are room was, was undergoing renovations. Nobody mentioned this when I booked the room, however it was fine, our room was clean and tidy and finished to a reasonable standard and the workmen in the corridor were fairly quiet and friendly. I would have appreciated two towels each rather than just one each and a glass in the bathroom to put my toothbrush in, and a toilet brush would have been useful. However all in all we enjoyed our short stay, and the staff were charming and helpful as ever, which is what counts. I have to say that the gardens surrounding the hotel were immaculate.

Cold shower, over-charging, poor service
I'm not a demanding hotel customer - I'm really only looking for a comfortable room and a half-decent shower in the morning. The room was OK, but I'm afraid I have a sense of humour failure when the shower is cold. To make things worse, without authorisation they billed me £91 for accommodation, even through I had prepaid. When I complained, they refunded me, but £10 short. I've complained again, but received no response.
