Great hotel, people but need for improvement

Business trip to Halifax, my first night was not convenient as it should be. There where no ventilation inside my room and I couldn't sleep in the night, I had to pick up the phone and ring the night shift receptionist asking for fan but no luck. The following day when I came back from work, I complain about it, and the day receptionist told me that there is ventilation, but many don't know how to open the window glass and then she came to help me open it.
My suggestion to the hotel management and staff to help guest up front by given them awareness regarding possible challenges they might come across and how to solve.
Beside this, the hotel and it staff are great people and great place to stay.
