There was rubbish under the bed. The breakfast was cold. The exterior of the property was covered in rubbish all over the place.

Poor communication. Cot not there on arrival. Staff rectified this quickly. Called us to say check out was at 11 when we were told 12 by email. No information about swimming pool given, we had to go to pool and check ourselves only to find out we can't go in at certain times. No lifts available had to take 2 buggies down the stairs. Only on the day of check out by chance we found we can go through the side entrance. Staff weren't forthcoming with information and did not offer help.

Chose this place as it was about 15 minutes away from the city centre by car and had some nice amenities. Initially asked for an early check-in however this was not available. Customer service: Receptionist was welcoming and checked us in without any issues. Standard double room: Room was, for the most part, clean and tidy. Shower could have done with a once over but nothing too concerning. Personally, I think the room was a little on the small side too. Amenities: There is a gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room as advertised online. Can’t comment on these as didn’t have time to use them. Breakfast: No staff were present to check we had pre-paid for breakfast or show us to a table. Food was good, nothing special but not bad. Good variety of continental and cooked breakfast. The one coffee machine in the restaurant seemed on its way out. Bar: Can’t comment on as didn’t use but seemed pleasant and welcoming.

Its a very dated hotel. Reception area is ok. Rooms and corridors are miles away. Not secure. Unlocked doors at back of hotel allow easy access to rooms.

My room was not properly cleaned. There were rings on the bedside table from a mug. I moved the phone and there was a USED EAR BUD the carpet had hair on it. In the bathroom a tissue box which was empty for the two nights I was there. Breakfast was ok but yesterday there was no bread for toast put out. They run out of orange juice and everything was just slow

Hotel is ok, perhaps not newest and part could do with being touched up. Check in was great, very friendly! Room was comfortable, bed comfy although a few spring had gone. A wheel had came off the chair in the room (as I sat on it). Food and beverage service was awful. I went to the bar and a member of staff was looking confused at the credit card machine and did so for 5 minutes. She then walked away and came back and looked confused at her card machine again. At no point did she acknowledge me, make eye contact, apologise etc which was frankly bizarre. Not just bad customer service but bad being a human! In the morning for breakfast welcome was more friendly and some people got a full explanation of how breakfast worked some didn't. Not that complicated but had to figure out mugs are on the tables and there were no glasses for juice but they brought some when I asked. Table set up was a bit random, tables that were set out with random missing items and I don't think it was because people had taken or used them. Anyway hotel was ok, staff at reception great, food and beverage staff poor.
