Dated Hotel.....

Posted Aug 2, 2016
Have to say our stay was on the whole, OK, but we won't be rushing back. Check In Staff were very pleasant and very informative. The room was large and airy. The Hotel is in need of a make over as it is quite dated. We took advantage of the Leisure Club which was fine but again in need of a make over. Breakfast was "continental" style, but not too good. Overall, for the money £55 the Highfield was ok, but as previously said "won't be rushing back".

Cheap, easy, not bad

Posted Jun 24, 2016
Pros: Good value for money
Cons: The place is a bit dated.
Location: Didn't really explore nearby, was staying in Bradford for a course. However was a short drive to Shipley and some really good curry places.
For the price (£45 a night) this place is not bad at all. Although the rooms/decor/attached health club are all rather rough around the edges for the price you are getting a hotel with a pool, sauna, gym, parking and unlimited self service breakfast. Would definitely stay again if travelling on business.

Decor outdated but don't let that put you off. For £55 for a very spacious double room including use of a small pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room this was well worth the money. also on site is moo restaurant which is well worth a visit too.

Business Overnight

Posted Feb 3, 2016
Pros: Big rooms
Cons: Decor is somewhat dated and as the rooms are big they seemed a bit spartan
Location: Convenient for North West Yorkshire towns Bradford, Ilkley, Keighley, SKIPTON and even Leeds
A late booking, good value for money and free use of a decent leisure club.

Found WiFi unreliable. Breakfast area wasn't designed well for crowds. Otherwise pleasant.

Cheap Basic lodging

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Beds ok.
Cons: More staff available. Improve run down and chaotic reception area. Ensure all repairs in rooms done. Bigger toaster and more seating in breakfast area
Stayed here for two nights. Bit shabby reception area and main stairs, not a good first impression. However improved in main corridors and rooms large and beds comfortable. Lack of storage space and rooms not made up for 2nd night. Nowhere to sit in comfort only one chair in twin bed room. Hot water from cold tap. Bedside light switch broken. Bathroom clean tho and decent towels but not replaced for 2nd night. Staff pleasant and helpful. when they were around. Continental breakfast was rolls, crumpets, bread for toast with tea or coffee. But only one slow 4 slice toaster which was not sufficient when 16 people having breakfast. Also no staff around to ask about no milk, juices rec all found hidden in the fridge. However cheap and comfy to stay for a night or two.

Convenient hotel for access to many amenities

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Very good location for walking to an extensive grocery store, fish and chip shop, pubs, restaurant, etc, A short drive from other places too.
Cons: More towels in the room (but were available when requested). More hangers in closet and set of drawers.
Location: Bradford Media Museum (free admission), Baildon Moors for walking, Thornhill Pub and Dining.
The staff are very friendly with a warm family atmosphere. Good self-serve breakfast. Marvellous pool and sauna. Our family room was spacious and comfortable. Pleasant lobby with books and magazines. Ample free parking. We stayed for 10-days - it must be good!
