Mediocre hotel in a sketchy area

We're woken up late by security and the manager of the hotel yelling at a guest in the hallway right outside our door. We understand it was the guest causing issues but to have them also partake in a yelling match at 12 am was ridiculous.

Dear Greg, First of all, I wanted to say thank you for writing a review. Now I did want to discuss the "Yelling" as you had indicated you had experienced. We take guest safety very seriously at our property. Unfortunately sometimes to ensure this safety we have people who like to raise their voice and cause a disturbance. I can assure you that at no point were myself or the security office yelling at anyone. We were removing an unwanted individual from the floor. We are very sorry that your sleep was disturbed.

Nice cheap hotel near to attractions

The hotel was nice and fairly clean. It's close to WEM, Telus World of Science, IHOP, and River City Yarns. Park on the side or in the back. We had no problems. They have cheap passes to Galaxyland or the Waterpark.

The area around is a bit rough but the hotel and room were good.

Nice hotel close to amenities

Great hotel for the cost. Located in west Edmonton. Only a few minutes drive to WEM, zoo, Fort Edmonton, Hawralak park

Hotel in shady area

Cons: The front desk clerks need to be friendlier
Location: The location of the hotel seemed to be in a shady part of town.
The hotel looked to be in a shady part of town. The front desk person was not friendly, the room itself was alright for what we needed it for and how long we were staying. It was difficult to get any sleep at night because the ice machine was near our room and whenever another guest went to get ice, the ice machine door would slam closed. Other patrons were coming back late at night and it sounded like they continued the party in the hallway. I would not recommend this hotel nor will I be going back.

Customer service

Receptionist need more training. Not familiar yet with her job waited more than 10 mins checking out until she called for help. But she apologized and told that she was new and I understood.
