Comfortable hotel, centrally located with parking.

Pros: It's location and high quality interior. We enjoyed having breakfast outside in the courtyard.
Cons: Did not enjoy the loud music at breakfast time !
Location: Three minute walk south to the water front where there are restaurants and harbour views. The area further north up the street is less inviting.
We were delighted with the comfort and contemporary design of the hotel. Very helpful staff and good breakfast. Our apartment room was well equipped . We enjoyed the mountain views and sunset from the balcony of our room.

No shower!

Cons: Needs a shower!
Location: Perfect location
The hotel was very nice. Room was clean enough although we had to ask for toilet paper and the toilet ran if you didn't flush it right. The room was very small. The worst part is there was no shower, just a bath! It was very bizarre and very hard to get clean/wash my hair without even a hand shower. Possibly the suites/bigger rooms had a shower? The breakfast was fabulous and the location was perfect - very close to the waterfront.

A nice hotel however

Pros: A great breakfast, a comfortable bed, safe underground parking and clean rooms..
Cons: Install a shower in all rooms.
Location: Great location with restaurants and bars in easy walking distance.
We enjoyed our stay at the Rex however I don't recommend the standard room which only has a bath, no shower. It was brought to our attention by reception that this fact was advertised on their web site. True however we failed to see this before booking. Apart from this everything else was great.

Great location and very modern

Pros: Very modern, large rooms (although we did book one of the one bedroomed apartments). Underground parking included in price paid. Location, Location
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Marina - shops/restaurants, Featherbed Cruise, Local Craft Market, Knysna Heads driving/cruise. Thessen Island restaurants/shops within a short drive
Been to Knysna now on many times, stayed in various types of accommodation within the town, very impressed with this hotel, ideal for walking around town, the marina and it's location is great, ideal for walking to many of the towns restaurants' and bars. Would certainly recommend this hotel. Staff were really helpful, breakfast was fine although there are many cafe's around the hotel should one want any alternative breakfast, although what we had was fine.

Excellent hotel.

Pros: Very modern yet homely.
Cons: The lights in the corridor come through the toilet and could be annoying but didn t bother us.
Location: Visit the lagoon. Kynsna is a good base for the garden route. Elephant sanctuary is good. Plettenberg worth a visit. Bloukrans for the bungy jump.
Great setting. Visit the bakery just below it is superb. Room comfort was excellent and we would definitely go back. Teresa at the front desk very efficient and helpful.

Nice Hotel, central location, very roomy.

Pros: Spaciousness and location
Cons: Lack of Wi-Fi
We stayed for 3 nights and had a nice stay. The rooms are very spacious and the amenities are very nice. The hotel layout is very nice from the inside and the location is excellent and very central. The bakery at the bottom of the restaurant is simply phenomenal - Mon Petit Pain, great for breakfast and lunch. The only issue we had was with Wi-Fi. We had a problem getting any of our devices to work, we called for service and they were never able to get it fixed. There was no follow up to close on the issue, so a bit disappointing. Also, they charge for Wi-Fi, which was not the case in any of our hotel stays in SA.

Great hotel and a good nights sleep

Pros: Comfort!
Cons: The carpet was dirty.
Location: Perfect! Close to the water front and easy access to a walking trail.
We had 2 rooms, one for our 2 adult children and one for my husband and I. Both were beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. We only had one night and wished we were able to stay longer. The location is fantastic. It is a short walk to the harbor, there is a pubic walking path along the water. After a long day of driving, it was nice to walk in the park bordering the water.

A hiden treasure. Service was great and you are treated like royalty. Pity it was a short stay but will go back, soon:) Rooms very well kept! Deco, out of this world!!!!
