"The restaurant is very good. The quality and taste is outstanding. Reserve the room with breakfast and it will be worth it. As for my room, the bathroom could use some remodeling because some of the grout has come off or has black mold. The closet doors also do not close properly. Staff were hospitable and very kind. "

"Great location, restaurants nearby are pretty good, close enough to the touristy spots a nice walk can get you there but removed enough to not be in the middle of it all. The rooms are updated, bathrooms might need an update but i was surprised with the hotel overall. "

"I stayed in the village hotel for 1 night while in Edinburgh visiting friends, the location was excellent for getting into the city centre. The room was comfortable and clean, the shower gad good pressure, but the height was too low, im 186cm tall and had to duck to get my head under the shower head. The other negative was the breakfast was very underwhelming, while there was plenty of it everything was just ok. Overall i would stay again but wouldnt have breakfast."

"Good hotel close to Haymarket train station. Hotel had a good feel, with a friendly bar, lounge area. Our ‘Roomy’ accommodation was in a townhouse on the opposite side of the street from the main hotel. While this was okay it was not mentioned at the time of booking and our key had to be reset 3 times for one overnight stay. Not ideal when you have to keep walking back across to the main hotel in the rain and snow!. The decor was clean and fresh and the facilities such as steamer had never been used. We had no remote for the tv and overall the room felt a little unfinished. The bathroom was nice and spacious however there was no plug for the sink and no heating in there, which meant when you stepped out of the shower it was freezing. Overall it was a good stay but could have been better. Next time we’d book a smaller room and hope to be in the main hotel not the annexe "
