For being in a small town, this was a perfect place to stay for the night before driving back to the Golden Circle. This is a no frills place, but safe and convenient. I would stay here again if I needed to stay in this area.

Very nice and the full kitchen was a great feature. Walkable to the shore and a great location to see the Northern Lights!

The property has a good location in town and is easy to find. It is not far from conviencience elements (store, restaurants, gas station etc.). Given that it's a reconstructed post office, it was not surprising that the property looks aged a bit, but we were a bit surprised by the amount of ongoing work in the building (several rooms appeared to be under construction). It proved to be pretty quiet, since we were the only ones there. Generally the proeperty met expectations.

Great Spot For Visiting Kirkjufell
Quick & easy check-in, very handy location for Kirkjufell. Plenty of cafe & restaurant options within easy walking distance.

We had a great experience here! The beds were comfy and the bathroom set up worked well for the two of us. We enjoyed the use of the community kitchen and the proximity to all we wanted to see. The coffee coupon for the cute coffee shop down the street was worth its weight in gold! Delicious!!

Check in was fairly quick - self service. Common dining area was really nice and clean. Nice touch with towels inside an ikea cloth bag hanging inside the bathroom. Never seen something like this.

Remote check in was very easy, the location was perfect for us, and the property was recently updated and very clean. Having a well stocked kitchen was a plus, but the room was quite small.

We stayed there the first night of our Iceland trip because it is in the middle of the Reykjavik and the west peninsula. There is a full kitchen and there not many dining options in the area.

Great accommodation
Everything is great for this accommodation. The only feedback I've is the shower area does not have a shower curtain or door which causes the toilet floor to be wet. Guesthouse provide free coffee and cereals which was great.

Great place, no complaints
Late check in is possible if you call. Most guesthouses seem to not have private bathrooms, but AFAIK, this guesthouse does. Also, the bathrooms were very nice, although the sink was placed in an odd location. The bed was also large and comfortable so that two people can sleep on it with ease.

Great location with a view of Kirkjufell Mountain
Great room with a view of Kirkjufell Mountain. There is too much light pollution from the other hotels/guesthouses to see the northern lights, but it is a short drive to an area with less light pollution. Kirkjufellsfoss is a 5-10 minute ride away. The room was very clean, easy check-in process, hot shower, and comfortable bed. Downstairs there was a kitchen but I didn’t utilize it. I wanted to mention that I was there on a Sunday after 6pm and there were very limited dining options, and the grocery store was already closed. That has nothing to do with the hotel, I am just letting people know because I look for that info when reading reviews

I liked the convenient location and the shared cooking facilities. The room itself was pretty spartan with little furniture to set luggage on. We could not find a heater in the room. Fortunately, we like it cool at night for sleeping and it was only September, but I don't think it would work later in the year.

Great in-town location, with updated comfortable rooms. All contact-less check-in, but good with directions and phone in entry to talk to person. Provided a great list of recommended restaurants and sites to visit/hike nearby, which was much more comprehensive than most hotels. Easy walk to harbour area, and to the waterfall and other local hikes. Bonus was a public washer/dryer just a few blocks up the road.
