Late arrival

Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, good shower.
Cons: Breakast offerings.
I was in town on a family emergency, and needed to book a room on short notice, late in the evening for that night. The available choices were few, and this seemed like the best option. I made the reservation online, and phoned ahead to make sure someone would be on duty to let me in after midnight (there was). I arrived at around 3am. Room was clean but with a faint odor of old cigarette smoke (although I had reserved a non-smoking room, I asked them at check-in to put me in a room away from other guests, as I needed to sleep in a bit later in the morning since I was getting to be so late). Nice bed, nice bathroom and shower. My only complaint is the 'complimentary breakfast' is a bit of a joke. Coffee, pre-packaged muffins, and granola bars. Certainly good enough to meet the minimum need, but not what I had hoped. All-in-all, given the circumstances, it was OK.

Don't extend your stay

My main complaint was cleanliness, I tried not to look too hard for fear of what I might find. What was noticeable was a long black hair on the bathroom sink, there was a penny on the floor in the bathroom and my shoes would stick to the floor in spots. It said to me that minimal (if any effort) was made to clean. The lamp fixtures by the bed had a layer of dust that had to accumulate for many months. The room was a smoking room, I'm a non-smoker (my mistake) but to air out the room in a sold out hotel I found cigarette buts in the sill, on the carpet there were fabric threads from where I don't know and to top it off body hair on one of the two beds. Why didn't I just leave? Well I arrived at 9:30pm to a sold out region and was just staying over night.

When I walked into my room it smelled of crabs..the windows were up and I was not satisfied with this at all. I went downstairs and asked for room spray and that didn't even take the smell from the room. For a person who has seafood allergies, i wasn't pleased at all. If it wasn't for the fact that i was too tired to seek out another hotel and they didn't have any available rooms I would have left. The next morning when i did leave, i forgot my pint of ice cream in the freezer and i called them, and the receptionist went back to the room to get it, mind you this was later on in the afternoon, makes me think that whomever was assigned to this room must have not cleaned or even looked to see if there was anything in the freezer. I really don't know if I will choose this hotel again. I was not pleased at all..
