The first time I've stayed in Kichijoji, though I've been out & about there many times in the past. The Tokyu REI hotel was excellent - solid, friendly service, and a wide open-plan reception area with a lovely 'hotel' aroma. The room was a typical size for a solo traveller in Japan, no problem at ...

Thousand times better than most mire expensive Hotels in the US.
I used the Creston for 3 night sin August. The hotel itself is fine. The room was large for a Japanese hotel and the location was good (just 2 minutes on foot from the station, right across the street from where the airport shuttle buses stop. The breakfast buffet was very blah, not worth the 1400 ...

The hotel is clean and pleasant, but the rooms are fairly outdated. The bed was the absolute hardest thing I've ever slept on, but the staff were friendly and prompt and we only stayed for two nights. Overall, we had a nice stay.
Staff are lovely even though I didn’t know japanese and they couldn’t speak English they were very patient and it was a great stay for the price!

Great location and facility except that there were no non-smoking rooms availables. The non Japanese but Asian guests were loud at around 10pm in the hallway slamming doors and shouting at each other. Had to sleep with ear plugs.

Comfortable, clean, reasonably quiet (could sometimes hear ambulance sirens thru the sliding patio door, but not objectionable). Having the mini-fridge/kitchenette was nice. Didn't use the washer, but it had English instructions. Had enough hangers in the closet, but desk surface was rather small ...
Great location if you want to go local and away from tourist area. Only downfall is it took 3 hours by train from & to Narita airport please allow enough time when departing so you won’t miss your flight and prewarn staff that you’ll be arriving late if travelling from Gold Coast flight (if you know ...

The apartment is close to Shin Egota subway station, so it was easy to get in and out of Tokyo, which took about 30 minutes. The property and facilities are a bit worn but otherwise clean and spacious
Proper Japanese guest house with helpful and friendly staff. Close to station making all of Tokyo easy to access. Safe local and quiet neighbourhood that provides everything you need in terms of shops and restaurants so you don't have to go downtown.
