Pros: Convenient to train station and downtown
Hotel room was noisy. It looked like a old hotel room.

Lovely hotel in a great town.

Posted Apr 8, 2016
Pros: We liked the room, beds and breakfast. Location was ideal for us.
Cons: The inability to control room temperature.
Location: Perfect location for us. Shopping and dining.
Our room set-up was very nice providing a kitchen and roomy bathroom. Beds were comfy and the room was quiet despite being across from the railroad station and on a busy street. The room was too warm. The heater/ac seemed to be set at a specific temperature. Continental breakfast was very good as well. We've been here before and we will return.

Thank you for your kind words. There are settings on the HVAC units which allow them to be individually controlled. I apologize if this was not readily apparent, but I'm glad you enjoyed your visit in all other aspects. I look forward to meeting you during your next stay with us...hopefully very soon!

Nice hotel close to train to NYC

Posted Mar 16, 2016
Pros: Rates, location, staff, safety, amenities, cleanliness.
Cons: Real 1/2 and 1/2, not powdered artificial "creamer".
Location: The hotel is 1 block to the NJ train station with easy & comfortable service to NYC. Many restaurants & services were within walking distances
This is a lovely, small, older hotel located 1 block to trains to NYC. While older and smallish, it is well furnished, comfortable and contained all I needed for a two night stay to visit my son nearby. Numerous restaurants of every quality and type were located within walking distance, as was a car rental, grocer, and easy strolling areas. The breakfast was standard fare, but the room coffee service contained nice choices of individual coffees and teas. A refrigerator and microwave were included. Room rates were reasonable, especially for visiting NYC. The staff were consistently helpful and cheerful.

Only hotel in town

Posted Mar 6, 2016
The room was clean. The hotel old and dated. The smells are interesting, but I think it is their cleaning product as the place is clean. The breakfast is no Hampton or Holiday Inn Express. There is no pool, fitness center or business center. They do have a computer in the 50 sw ft lobby. The nightly rate is expensive for what you get. We only stay here because it the only option in town.

Great stay!

Posted Feb 5, 2016 on Hotels
Great stay! We only stayed for one night but well worth it. The room was clean, spacious, and met all our needs. The bed was a little too firm for me but other than that a great stay. Very close to NJ Transit if you're planning on going into the city.

Stay was excellent. Drainage in tub and sink could be improved. Selection of coffee for Keurig should be expanded.

Overall, A Pleasant Stay

Posted Jan 17, 2016
Pros: Convenient location in a pretty town for our traveling purpose
Cons: Gathering space for travelers whether business or family/friend groups. Fitness room with treadmill, bike, etc. Soundproofing between floors.
Location: Westfield is a beautiful small New Jersey town with anything you'd want within walking distance from dining, shopping and the train.
This was a last minute trip and this hotel fit the bill for location. It is clean and though looks like the last renovation occurred in the 1990s, it is well maintained and not worn looking. Soundproofing between floors is not adequate. We could hear guests walking and talking above us into the wee hours of the morning. Rates are expensive but that goes with the NJ/NY locale. The continental breakfast was adequate. However for our 3-night stay, we opted for breakfast on the last morning at a wonderful diner within walking distance. There is no gathering area for travelers staying for the same purpose which is a downside. The staff was pleasant and accommodating.

As a mature property, there are a few things that could certainly use a bit of improvement, especially when it comes to the close surroundings of our Guest rooms. Thank you taking the time to voice your opinion. I am glad that we were able to meet most of your needs during your stay with us. Please visit us again soon.
