Westgate Entertainment District is the place to visit when you can’t decide what you’d like to do for entertainment. Choose from an exciting array of options to suit the whole family. Fill your bags at the stores and listen to a music concert. Kids love the jumping fountains, while sports fans enjoy the adjacent State Farm Stadium.
Check the schedule at Desert Diamond Arena for special events throughout the year. The multipurpose venue hosts the world’s top performers, along with seasonal concerts and occasional sport competitions. At the State Farm Stadium, the retractable roof is a highlight, but nothing beats the excitement of watching the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals and the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
If you prefer movies, visit AMC Westgate 20, with stadium-style seating, a snack bar and a 20-screen theater. Plus, there’s an IMAX theater for 3-D experiences. When it’s time for drinks, dining and retro vibes, stop at the Carousel Arcade Bar. Play games of ping pong and enjoy pinball machines while sipping creative cocktails.
At Escape Westgate, escape rooms challenge you to puzzles and mysteries with special effects and themed games. Try axe throwing at LumberjAxes Axe Throwing venue. Don’t worry, as you’ll receive instructions from the experts before competing to hit a large target. The Stir Crazy Comedy Club offers a small theater experience and plenty of laughs.
While you’re shopping, go back and forth to WaterDance Plaza. The open-air plaza features a stunning water attraction with light and sound effects. You’ll likely find live entertainment here, so take a seat on one of the mosaic benches to enjoy the atmosphere. Spend hours with the kids at Fountain Park, with landscaped gardens and a splash pad during the summer months. When it’s time to eat, choose from a huge variety of restaurants serving everything from Mexican food to seafood and pretzels.
Westgate Entertainment District is open year-round. Find free and metered parking at the complex on most days of the year, other than event days at the arena or stadium. The area is about a 20-minute drive northwest of the center of Phoenix.
