Pros: Close to event I was attending.
Cons: Everything!
Mold in shower. Electricity inferior. No overhead lights. To turn off table lamps with inside door switch, you turned off refrigerator and air conditioner. Not recommended.

Just the place for a quick snooze!

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: I like that the hotel was close to the highway, it was easy to find. I liked that there were no stairs for me to fight with.
Location: Westmoreland is close to New Hartford, Utica and Vernon. Shopping is great at Sangertown Mall. These places are within 20 minutes' drive.
We had two rooms, which were clean. We were there for a short part of the evening and the night. Parking was in front of your units, which was great. If you are disabled, this is the perfect setting. There was one small fridge in one of the rooms, and no microwave. If you needed to warm things up, you needed to go to the office to do that. If you are only passing through the area, it is a nice motel to stay at. It is literally a stone's throw from the I-90.

Old motel that could use some basic upgrades. the mattress was worn out. There was no laundry facility and the owner didn't know where one was.

Nice Price

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: The price and location.
Cons: Nothing really.
Location: This hotel is in Utica, there isn't a lot to do there. I did not book this hotel for the surrounding entertainment.
This is not a frivolous hotel. It is your basic no frills, economically priced hotel. You can't beat the price. Don't expect anything special, but if your looking for a clean place to just lay your head for the night that doesn't cost an arm and a lrg, then this is the place to stay.

Good for just a place to sleep.

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: close to Turning Stone
Cons: Everything
Location: Turning Stone
Very dated, not very clean (black mold on the bathroom walls, dirty cups and washcloths under the bed, room had a bad smell), the office had an awful smell, the room (1 king size bed) I booked on-line was not available when we got there we had to take another room (2 full size beds) but we only saw one other car in the whole parking lot the whole time we were there. There was more than 6 inches of snow in the parking lot the whole time and the morning we were leaving it was coming down again and nothing was being plowed or shoveled. The water pipes made noise all night long that kept waking us up. You pay what you get for, price was cheap but so was the hotel and service.

Low budget for overnight stay

Posted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: Location off the I-90, for low cost per night with comfortable bed and clean room and the basic things you need.
Cons: But the room insulation is not good and you can hear people talking in the other guest rooms, no ventilation fan in the bath room.
Location: Good location for just off I-90 but at least 5-miles away from town for food, shopping, and entertainment.
Staid one night and didn't take the basic continental breskfast.

Cons: Different Owners. OR someone who speaks english.
We made our reservations online through expedia. We went to check into this hotel on a Friday night we were suppose to stay for two nights. There was no body at the front desk, it took about 5 minutes for someone to come check us in. I told the guy that we made reservations online for Friday and Saturday night. He spoke terrible English, he said ( just what i understood ) that no there were no reservations for tonight or Saturday night. I said okay well we need a room he started asking a bunch of questions but i couldn't understand him, he then got angry cause i couldn't understand him he started raising his voice at me. He was going to give us a room then he said " oh we no have heat, but got big heater" I said no way and walked back out. I would never recommend this place to ANYONE. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Easy to get to...not much more

Posted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Really easy to get to from US Rte 90, and only 10 minutes from Turning Stone, where we were attending an event. Also, the bed was surprisingly comfy!
Cons: Really needs an update, and something done about the musty odor...an air freshener, if nothing else!
Location: As said before, the location was about 1/10th of a mile off Rte 90, and around 10 minutes from Turning Stone Casino.
This hotel was super easy to get to off US90, but I can't say much more than that. Built in the 70's, not sure it's been updated since then! While the room was very clean, it had an old, almost musty smell, and the wallpaper was actually loose at the seams in a few places. The bathroom was very clean, but no tub (I like a tub!) and the toilet was so low to the ground, it seemed like it must have been made for an elementary school! The man who checked us in was pleasant, and that's all of the staff we saw. No coffee maker, hair dryer, frig or any other "add ons" in the room. We only stayed one night, and were only interested in a place to sleep, so it was fine, especially for the cost! I MIGHT stay here again if there was nothing close by in the same price range. Disappointing, but it wasn't horrendous. Would recommend to anyone who was only looking for a bed, and not concerned about the aesthetics of the place.
