Staff unwilling to assist us

This is a timeshare facility. We booked for one night. I called the hotel the morning of our arrival to add my Husband's name to the reservation, as we have different last names, and he would be arriving about two hours before me. I wanted him to be able to get the key and check in before I arrived. The front desk was polite, in telling me that they could not add his name, and I would have to call Orbitz. I ended up speaking with the manager, who told me that even though he could see the reservation in the computer, and he would be there until long after we all arrived, he would not accommodate us by giving the key to my husband. I would have to change the reservation through Orbitz. There are the "rules" I was told. I called Orbitz, they then had to call the hotel, and 45 minutes on the phone later, they added my husband's name to the room and gave him the key when we arrived. The room was very clean, and having the separate living area was convenient.
