Vacation Village at Weston

Pros: Overall the hotel and other staff were great.
I was not pleased with the shuttle driver. I waited about an hour for the shuttle van to get a ride to take me Weston to get some dinner. I was told by the staff in the registration office that the driver would come into the building to let me know when he arrived. I saw the van drive around twice. The staff made a second call for the driver and that is when I went outside to wait on him. After getting into van I was not pleased with his attitude and his response to my question, so I asked him to let me get out of the van and I would get another way to get food.

The shuttle is an additional service available for our guests to go to the nearby grocery stores, but it is managed by a third party company. Old smells of must

The address listed for the resort is incorrect. I made multiple phone calls to the office to obtain the correct address. The air in the unit didn't work properly, after calling for service maintenance arrived the moving we were leaving. The master bedroom was unbearably hot while the remainder of the unit was freezing cold. The resort has a musty odor, and the unit was NOT cleaned thoroughly. I would not recommend to anyone nor use it worth the cost. Greatly disappointed. Staff was lacking in customer service. Upon check out I explained no one came to repair the air until we were literally walking to check out; the front desk agent replied "that's too bad".

Quiet & comfortable

The hotel is very nice, close to resturants & shopping. I thought paying extra for wi-fi connection was unreasonable since the hotel was so pricey.

For your reference and for the benefits of future guests, the $25.00 amenities fee includes: Wi-Fi (basic bandwidth), in-room safes, limited local transportation within a 3-mile radius via shuttle service, discounts at participating merchants, Karaoke night, family movie night, poolside appreciation party, poolside dance lessons, social center, fitness center, morning coffee, refreshments from 2pm – 6pm, and access to the business center. Didn't have any bath amenities and they didn't clean the room for the whole stay. The Internet service was terrible it was very slow.

Nice swimming pool

Location: Location excellent. Good restaurants nearby.
Nice swimming pool. Staff ok. The location is very good in terms of restaurants. Also it is kind of close to the beach. However, a car is a must to get around.

Don't risk your vacation.

Booked West in but it "had a maintenance issue" the sent us to Bonaventure after 1 he arguing. As we walked in a 1.5 inch roach lasted on the entry. Went back got another building which would have been awesome in 1986. The next day spent 2 hrs fighting to get full refund ended up staying in 2 other hotels residence in coconut creek, was nice and Homewood Suites in Dania, always great.

14 great years here

Pros: Kitchenette, pool, hottub, cleaniness, staff
Location: Weston is surrounded by golf clubs, close to Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood beaches. Lots of shopping as huge Sawgrass Mills Mall close by.
Been coming 14 years to same spot. Close, convenient, clean, good staff. Toaster broke, had a new one delivered in minutes and a prompt followup call.

Wouldn't Go Back

This was my last time staying here. Check-in was as slow as it was the first time. Without going into to detail, there were some things that needed to be removed from our room upon check-in and the staff never helped us after calling 3 times. Definitely a hotel for retired people and not so kid friendly. Could tell the guests were annoyed with having kids around. Hotel staff not friendly or willing to help at all.
