Don't Expect Hotel Hospitality - It's a Timeshare.

I was a little disappointed that this was treated as a true timeshare, even though i booked this through a hotel site. There were no toiletries, no housekeeping.... not that it was a huge deal but it's just kind of disappointing. The decor and the rooms overall are very dated. Clean, but expect a trip back to 1997. The hallways and common areas reminded me more of a dorm than a hotel I'm paying several hundred dollars per night for. On the plus side, it was quiet, and there was plenty of parking.

Thank you for your comments. You are correct: Vacation Village at Parkway is not a hotel; we are a timeshare resort. Our owners share their time with others and they have the opportunity to travel with their families all over the world and pay only a fraction of the cost that most consumers would pay for the multitude of amenities that timeshare units provide. Our resort does not provide complimentary daily maid service; however, guests staying five or more days receive a mid-week service consisting of trash removal, towels exchange and light tidy. Extra cleaning is available upon request at an additional charge. We apologize if our resort did not meet your expectations. We wish you better vacation travels for the future.

I was definitely mislead as to the type of room I was booking. Hotel blamed site . Site gave me runaround. Problem was eventually solved but after a late evening check-in , I could have definitely done without the hassle.

Stay elsewhere if you want a traditional hotel

This is a timeshare, they try to meet with you every turn... it is busy with people loading up for long stays - so elevators are busy. Booking was deceiving: thought I was booking a king bed per webpage and got a queen, thought I booked a Jacuzzi tub per the photos and I got a tub... the room is tired, linens look old, bed not the best, noisy can hear neighbors.

Perfect Evacuation Hotel

Perfect location for evacuation from Hurricane Mathew. Large A B suite had ample room for 6 adults, kitchen was a god send since all the restaurants were closed for the hurricane.

Priced right and clean.

Staff unwilling to assist us

Pros: It had a separate living room, and the kitchen had a nice fridge and sink, although it had only a hot plate, no stove. It was clean.
Cons: The front desk staff was not helpful at all, they seemed to be unwilling to help because we did not book directly through them.
Location: Not sure, spent only 1 evening. Very close to I 75, you can see and hear it from the property. Nice view of the everglades.
This is a timeshare facility. We booked for one night. I called the hotel the morning of our arrival to add my Husband's name to the reservation, as we have different last names, and he would be arriving about two hours before me. I wanted him to be able to get the key and check in before I arrived. The front desk was polite, in telling me that they could not add his name, and I would have to call Orbitz. I ended up speaking with the manager, who told me that even though he could see the reservation in the computer, and he would be there until long after we all arrived, he would not accommodate us by giving the key to my husband. I would have to change the reservation through Orbitz. There are the "rules" I was told. I called Orbitz, they then had to call the hotel, and 45 minutes on the phone later, they added my husband's name to the room and gave him the key when we arrived. The room was very clean, and having the separate living area was convenient.
