The hotel has lovely grounds in the sunshine. It is also spacious with sitting areas away from the bar and restaurant. It has a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

HoneymoonPosted Jun 9, 2015
Unusual setup as the room was in a separate building with 3 other rooms and a group of similar buildings. Very quiet and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and didn't bother reporting that the room safe was already locked, so we couldn't use it, and the Wi-Fi sign-in would not work from the room. Also the Freeveiw on the TV had a very poor signal, but that didn't get s lot of use. The queen size bed was very big and comfortable. Bathroom had a separate shower, and good quality Molton Brown shower gel, moisturiser etc. We ate in the pub part of the hotel which had an excellent choice on the menu, and friendly attentive staff. Breakfast in the main restaurant was very good with a wide choice of cold and hot food, including a good full English.

Noisy room and poor staff attitude.Posted May 8, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel was really nice, however I was put in room 7 above the bar. The noise was horrendous and carried on into the early hours of the morning. When I complained to reception, I was told I could move room. Not really an option at one in the morning. Staff were mostly Eastern European and had a bad attitude to the guests. A person asked to sit in the window for breakfast. The waitress said "No. I will have to make the table up". Restaurant staff in the evening were very polite and helpfull.

See You AgainPosted Apr 17, 2015 on Hotels
Friendly, helpful staff, and all human beings with personalities which they are evidently allowed to use, very refreshing in this day and age! Every aspect of the hotel is excellent, can't recommend a stay there more highly, we'll certainly be going back, and for more than one night, so there's more than one breakfast. Even if you don't like scrambled egg, have it with the full English....you'll know what I mean!

3 B's Failure: Bathroom, Bed & Breakfast!Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Molton Brown bath products are excellent. OK fresh fruit, granola, good jams, yogurts, bakery. Comforter on bed. Housekeeping wins highest marks.
Cons: Professional training for all staff (don't scold guests!). Provide plenty of towels for each guest. New beds needed. Products holder in shower.
Location: Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park is a must. Chipping Campden's Red Lion, Frankie Doodle shop, Stuart Antiques. The National Arboretum
We found staff to be somewhat uneven. Some care was given at breakfast, although we didn't like being scolded for how to enter a side entrance with five doors, with main entry locked on Day 2! So much for that fiasco. Upon arrival, reservations did not know who we were (with a booked prepaid deposit, breakfast included w king bed room). The intro of hotel features and WiFi was confusing, too fast. Three key features to any hotel stay are the comfort and cleanliness of bath and shower, the bed, and the deliciousness of the coffee in the morning. The water pressure in the shower was horrendous! One face cloth, really, for two? One hand towel? Excellent products did not make up for the terrible water pressure, or confining shower stall. I hit my head on inside door handle when picking up shampoo/conditioner from the floor - no room on the soap dish - they need a wire basket to hold products! My husband never takes a bath, but did because he didn't feel clean after showering. King bed was lumpy, hard. The coffee was poor. I ordered a cappuccino - switched to cafetierre, which did not help, either bad water, old equipment or flat, tasteless grounds were used. We ordered soft boiled eggs, they arrived nearly hard boiled. Also did not relax in the bar for a later dinner with unfriendly staff. No niceties, we had no idea where to sit, who was helping, if anyone; how to order from the bar, etc. etc. Dessert took forever. No help? No recommendation!
