Besides a $100 deposit taking three days to be credited back to my account, and the smoking handyman that lives there, the motel isn't bad.

Like most hotels throughout the U.S., and indeed the world, we take a security deposit to cover any incidental charges such as telephone or food and drink items. The money is not actually placed in our account; there is simply a "hold" placed on the amount, which is released at checkout. We are sorry that you are waiting for your deposit to be refunded to you, but unfortunately, it can take some banks a few days to release this money into the client's account. Blinds missing a few pieces.

Covered up 6in x 8 in hole in blinds with sheets from bed. Hot shower.

Decent hotel with indoor pool

Pros: Friendly staff, clean and stocked rooms, indoor pool and spa
Cons: Fix internet connection, repair non working plugs in room
Location: Relatively close to the boardwalk
The gentleman that greeted us was very nice and check in was quick and easy. Unfortunately the password he gave us for internet access was invalid and there are no phones in the rooms. A couple of the plugs in the room didn't work, otherwise the room was clean and well stocked. I would stay here again if they got the internet fixed.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

The hotel was dirty, the room was falling apart at every turn. No towels, they ignored my request to make the people above me turn off their music at 2am. The worst beds in the history of hotels. Much rather stay at the Motel 6 to be honest.

Unimpeachably Terrible and Disgusting

Pros: It strains the limits of imagination to consider positive aspects of this hotel. I suppose it gave my daughter her first exposure to a drug deal.
Cons: The hotel could be bulldozed and hauled away in dumpsters, and an establishment built in it's place that didn't cater to addicts and spouse abusers.
Location: If you take a right out of the entrance, you'll notice a wonderful spot on the left to buy some of the nicest meth for at least a hundred yards!
Where to begin? Office staff were unwilling to work with me to negotiate checking in a day later because I had more work than anticipated the day before and so could not leave work in time to arrive that night. It was either cancel the reservation (and not make a new one) or pay for the day I wasn't using. On check in, the attendant emphasized that this was a non-smoking establishment, always a good thing, but it turned out that upon opening the door to the room, we were assaulted by the acrid smell of stale cigarette smoke. That was just the first thing we noticed. My wife and I make a habit of checking for bed bugs, and now that we have our infant with us, we always check thoroughly. We didn't have to go far to find that although it had no bed bugs, the mattress was heavily stained with blood. The lock had been ripped from the door, the door itself was very poorly hung and left significant gaps on all sides. Drafty, and a cockroach superhighway. All through the night and day, there was loud, obnoxious drug activity in the parking lot, domestic disputes in the adjacent rooms, and police activity all around the area. The rooms appear to have been decorated by a serial killer, with the non-descript beige color being livened with unpainted patches in the drywall. The only thing that met the description of the room was that it was, in fact, a room in a hotel. The next time I'm in Santa Cruz and need a hotel, I wouldn't rent a room in this establishment if it was the last in town

Close to beach and downtown

Comfortable and close to everything. Only thing that I didn't like was that around 2 am there was yelling and screaming and a lot of commotion.

DUMP !!!!

No phone, bedside lamp, 3 not working 14 burn holes in blanket Stairways filthy & hand railing sticky gross . Have NEVER stayed in a more disgusting place!!!!

Lock was broken on our door so it felt a bit unsafe... and so were the blinds so we couldn’t block out light from outside. No smoking on premises but we could smell smoke I’m in our room. breakfast was a poor selection of items. We only stayed here for the pool and hot tub which seem to be the only perks this place has going for it.

skelton room

Pros: location
Cons: fix the heaters, more thought for the comfort of the traveller
Location: near boardwalk and downtown
there must have been many thefts of this property because the room was bare. No paintings on the wall, no coffee maker and not even a plastic cup in the bathroom. The heater was old, dusty and so noisy it woke me up each time it went on. The room was dark and there were no blankets.

Packed, limited parking, dirty, noisy

Location: Close to the Boardwalk
We did not have the experience we were hoping for. When we arrived late at night, the parking lot was full so we had to park on the street in the one spot that was open. The room was super dirty, especially the floors. I didn't walk barefoot on the floors. The bed linens were super thin so I was cold at night. There was no drain stop for my kids to take a bath, so we plugged the drain with a towel. We experienced much noise at night- kids running, shouting, car alarms sounding. There was also a group of crazy people fighting one day in the parking lot over stolen containers. We would not stay at this place ever again! Now to be fair, it is located close to the beach, and our room was spacious. So if cleanliness isn't a factor, this could be your place to stay!
