Best Western Bayou Inn in Westwego, LaPosted Oct 20, 2015
Pros: Security and Friendly Staff
Cons: Appearance of the hotel. The internet pictures of the interior were far more impressive than the actual hotel.
Location: Location was decent
The staff was very friendly. There was a security officer always available/ on duty, which contributed to a comfortable and safe environment. This was especially valuable to me, as I was traveling with three kids.... I did not like that the tiny gym with limited equipment was on the 2nd floor. When doing nothing wrong, and simply exercising, you feel you're disturbing the entire building.(while suffering from claustrophobia ofcourse). You can actually hear someone running on the treadmill halfway down the hall on the first floor. I would hate to be the guests staying in the room directly next to it or underneath it! Every other Best Western I've stayed in had nice gyms. This is not one of them. An addition/ remodel for a better gym would definitely be more affective for this hotel/ its guests.

Clean, respectable budget option near New OrleansPosted Oct 7, 2015
I was in town for a couple of days on business and wanted a clean, comfortable place close to New Orleans that wouldn't break the bank. The hotel is located on a rather desolate stretch of highway, but it is kept up nicely. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable with all of the amenities (ironing board, hair dryer) I needed. I forgot toothpaste and the front desk provided it to me free of charge. Hotel management is clearly trying to go the extra mile for its guests, providing (cucumber-, lemon-) infused water in the lobby and hosting mini events (like Margarita night) in the evenings. I had a pleasant stay and would stay here again when traveling on business.

We will stay again @ this hotel.Posted Aug 16, 2015 on Hotels
Cons: This hotel does not have an elevator but since it only has two floors, it didn't pose a major issue. Stairs are located on both ends of the building -no midway point. Their security guard was asked to assist us with our luggage since we were assigned on the 2nd floor & I was already carrying the baby & a carry-on luggage. I thought that was nice of him considering it isn't part of his job description. And nice of the hotel staff to ask him to assist us instead of having us go back & forth to retrieve our belongings from the lobby. Pros: Free parking, WiFi & breakfasts were a huge plus. One of the better breakfast accommodations that I've experienced. Staff were friendly & nice as well. Appreciate the assistance with the luggages. The room smelled & looked clean. It had a mini fridge, microwave, single serve coffee maker.

It was okPosted Aug 10, 2015 on Hotels
The only complaint I have is, if you have kids they can not be loud or make hardly any noise. The only way we could accommodate the people below us was to make our kids sit on the bed and watch TV because them just walking around made to much noise. The neighbor hood is not really the best and the only thing we could see out of the window was dumpsters, and the have no elevators so you have to carry luggage up the stairs which they do not have air conditioning on in the hallways.

Nice hotel close to TPC LouisianaPosted Aug 5, 2015
We stayed because of the close proximity to TPC Louisiana and it was perfect for that. We were only there one night so didn't get out in the area much, but it seemed ok for the most part. Staff was nice, breakfast was plentiful and pretty good. We will likely stay here again if we go back to that immediate area near TPC Louisiana.
