Room stunk of cleaning chemicals and unable to get smell out of room. Room next to us we're noisy and smoking till 400 in morning. Walls so thin we could hear everything.. not a pleasant experience. In all not very restful. Motel badly needs a remodeling

A decent no frills place to stay.

Posted Dec 17, 2016
Pros: Carol, the front desk person was very helpful and nice.
Cons: The heaters were inefficient.
Location: Location was fine for convenience to Deception Pass.
We stayed here for one night for the Rainshadow Ultra Marathon in Deception Pass Park. The location was great, about 15 minutes from the park. The front desk person, I believe her name was Carol, could not have been nicer. We were given a room that was pretty darn cold when we first went in - the outside temperature was a little below freezing. We turned up the heat, but that poor old heater just wasn't capable of blowing out enough warm air to heat that room up. After about 20 minutes, when it was clear it wasn't going to ever get warm enough, we called down to the front desk and they were very helpful in getting us a new room. The new room was not toasty warm, but the heater did function enough to make it comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a bit of a cross between a continental and a hot breakfast. There was scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, packages of instant oatmeal but no hot water, bananas, and a few pastries. There may have been a waffle maker too. Overall, it was decent if you aren't looking for anything fancy. The rooms open up to the parking lot, there are no interior hallways.

Nice place, outstanding staff/service.

Very nice facility, staff was super friendly, professional. Rooms very nice, well-kept building and grounds. Only thing I'd change is the super-soft mattress. A little firmer would have resulted in a more restful sleep.

Close to downtown but far enough away to be quiet.

Pros: location and quality of facilities.
Cons: More channel selection on the TV
Location: Lots of restaurants and fast food, shopping and groceries within 5 min. drive.
I booked for two nights but ended up staying three. The room was great, the staff very helpful and the area quiet.

Beautiful, Clean Hotel

Posted Oct 25, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel was great. All the rooms are accessible through the outside. The hotel is very pretty with flowers everywhere and the property is easy to access. The room was clean and the kitchenette had everything we needed. Our room was on the first floor and opened up to a small yard area with a privacy fence which was great because it allowed our kids to play just outside our room in a safe area. There is also a playground on the property. The breakfast area is small and has your basic breakfast of waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, pastries, yogurt, cereal and oatmeal and they serve the delicious Whidbey Coffee.

Location was good

Posted Oct 17, 2016
Pros: Good breakfast. Hotel staff very friendly
Location was good. The negative about the whole night was that other guests lingered outside smoking and talking on their cell phones very late into the night and again started very early in the morning. Although they were standing and talking on the balcony above our room, it sounded as if they were in the room

Don't bother

Posted Oct 11, 2016
Checked in was easy enough after a difficult flight, wheat to our room and noticed some people hanging out next door to our room with the door open and a dog on their bed,was in a hurry to see family so we just threw our bags in the room and left, so 3 hours or so we come back and it's time for bed and as we pull up there are more people out next door to our room and appear to be conducting buisness if you know what I mean,my wife and I decided to just ignore it and go inside and lock the door when we noticed the security lock on the door had been broken, called the desk and said they needed to move us,no problem they had a room, grab the bags and went to that room and it was as someone had just left or used the bed for some other buisness, went back to the office and requested my money back and then walked down the street to find another hotel late in the evening.in summary this hotel is a low value hotel and not ran very professionally and it may be unsafe to normal people. I did end up finding a good hotel nearby but do not wish to give out the name or I'm sure they will say I made this up.
