The AC will keep you ip all night

Posted Jul 21, 2017
The first impression was that the place was dirty. The logo wall behind the counter was full of smeary prints, a sign of things to come. The room was nothing special and really dusty in areas. The bathroom lighting was TERRIBLE... a huge bright light on the side wall vs above the mirror so you're blinded in one eye as you get ready, but can't see the other side of your face. The absolute deal breaker was the AC. It would start humming like a lawnmower waking everyone up all through the night. Went for rest and relaxation and left the wekend EXHAUSTED. They only have 6 free bikes to loan so be prepared not to get those. We got the last 2 (bumming out the guests right behind us) but had to wait 30 minutes while they replaced a broken helme. The manager went to buy a new one for us which was nice but the gal signed us out at the time we got to the desk, rather than when we could actually leave with the bikes (we took the full 2 hours and were not charged). Room has a small fridge, but no microwave if you plan to reheat leftovers. They have a nespresso in the lobby which I saw mentioned online as an amenity somewhere but don't recall reading they charge $2.50 per cup. Stayed at Summit Lodge last time and loved it (paid same price for much bigger bathroom with good lighting, kitchenette, quiet AC, balcony and nice complimentary beverages in the lobby). We thought we'd change up our location this time. Will go back to Summit or try another hotel next time.

Nice central location for walking around the village. Good value compared to other hotels in the area.

Close to every thing.

Pros: Clean, nice hotel. Staff is good.
Cons: Pricing should include parking.
It is close to all attraction. however, the parking was not part of the hotel charges. I think we should have known before bookin.

Thank you for choosing the Aava Whistler Hotel! Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately everywhere in Whistler is paid parking, and the parking charges are noted on your confirmation and our website.

Excellent location but rooms are very small.

Pros: Location
This hotel is very conveniently located just a 1 minute walk to the village where all the restaurants and markets were situated. .Rooms are on a smaller side with no place for luggage. There was not enough shampoos & soaps given to us to accoodate a family of 4. We had 2 small soups on the first day and one shampoo, conditioner. Excellent AC & wifi.

Convenient location.

Almost in the Village but much quieter. Pet friendly but not cheap. The Tantalus Lodge is more reasonable for pets but further away. Parking is costly but most Whistler places charge about $20 daily. In good shape. Housekeeping is excellent. Definitely a consideration.

Great Hotel Good Location

Very nice hotel, easy access to Whistler Village. Everything in Whistler is expensive because there is no down season. There is always outdoor activity depending on weather.
