We return year after year

Posted Feb 17, 2017
We've been to the Coast on Blackcomb more than 10 times and it's our favorite Whistler hotel for skiing weekends. Love how you can ski right out to Blackcomb mountain and love the outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs. Love the rooms too - all fully equipped clean and comfortable. The number 5 free bus goes from the hotel to the village so we love the location too. Normally love the included buffet breakfast too but the last weekend we were really disappointed in it. No hot food, a complete mess in the breakfast area, and hardly even any bread for toast etc. was left both mornings we were there. I think it felt particularly disappointing for me as at almost 8 months pregnant I'd been really looking forward to it as part of my weekend of relaxing while my husband enjoyed the slopes! The breakfast used to be one of the reasons we'd pick the Coast over other hotels in the area. I hope this was just a temporary issue and not a sign of things going downhill. The hot tubs are also in need of a little TLC, but I enjoyed the pool.

Best ski in and out

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Pros: easy free ski storage
Its all about location, hotel a little dated but one of the best ski in out locations. Quiet away from the busy village.

A great experience at -25

Posted Jan 10, 2017
Pros: Comfortable and pleasant employees
Cons: Nothing
Location: Well you are a ways from the village but the shuttle runs often. Daughter did yoga classes at Lululemon. Hung out at The Warehouse for drinks and food
Our stay at The Coast Blackcomb Suites was as usual an enjoyable and comfortable stay We experienced one evening waiting for the shuttle at -25 Very cold and waiting for the shuttle seemed forever. The only disappointment was that we got put in a room at the back of the hotel.. My daughter was so excited for this trip because she was taking a VLOG of our Whistler trip and there were only trees (which were beautiful) out our balcony. She is getting into filming and wanted to take some nice videos. My fault. I should have requested a room overlooking the pool and ski lift. Next time. Her VLOG turned out so nice. Anyway it was a great trip.

Awesome location & service

Posted Dec 18, 2016
We stayed in a studio suite. The room was clean, layout was compact but very well designed. There is a full kitchen. We made our own lunch and dinners, and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The hotel is right off the Lower Cruiser trail, which is rated blue but more like a green. Being able to ski in and out, never carry the gears onto a bus, is worth every penny. There is a rental shop inside so you don't even need to go to the base to get rentals. I didn't know of it on my first day, but I was able to return my gears from the main village rental shop to this location. People working there are very nice and professional, and the waiting time is a lot less.

Nice ski in ski out location. Quiet and cozy.

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Very good value and at the end of the road. Far from village but nice ski in ski out. Makes a busy day very easy with the skis and not having to traverse to get to or from hill. Breakfast was perfect with a lot of variety. Cold boiled eggs but put them in some hot water and voila, nice and warm. Had loud guests next to us and front desk immediately rectified it at 2am. Pullout couch was very uncomfortable for kids and room was very dry. Only complaint. Will stay again and book with 2 beds.

Perfect for ski in/out

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Pros: Location is perfect for ski in/out and catching the shuttle bus. Breakfast, friendly staff, ski/board rental shop.
Cons: Wi-fi a little inconsistent. Shame no hotel bar.
Location: Immediately adjacent to one of the main ski trails and lifts. Easy access to upper and main village by free shuttle bus.
Great base for our short ski trip, with one of the trails down to the upper village immediately adjacent, and just a short ski to the first lift. Friendly staff and a great outdoor pool and hot tubs you can use even in the snow! Hotel not the most up to date, but very clean and comfortable which is all you really need. Our room was perfectly appointed. Perfect breakfast to start the day. Just beyond walking distance to the upper village in the winter, but the free shuttle bus stops outside, so very easy to get around.

Beautiful hotel, quiet location

Posted Dec 17, 2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Breakfast has limited options, but is enough to get you out the door in the morning.
Location: Beautiful, quiet location. Easy access to ski slopes, hiking trails, and bus service.
This hotel has everything I could ask for. The pool area is beautiful, with warm water temperatures even when it is freezing outside. Access to the ski slopes is great, just a short walk out the door and there it is. Our room was very cozy, with a fully stocked kitchen. I've stayed here several times, and will return anytime I am in Whistler!!

Just what I needed for my skiing winter trip <3

Posted Dec 13, 2016
Pros: Location, comfort, amenities, and food!
Cons: Parking should be included in the hotel room price, it should not be an extra charge of $25 per day. This is unheard off in the USA.
Location: Skiing, pubs, hiking, zip-lining, kayaking, rafting, fishing, dining, camping.
My husband and I always stay in this hotel when come to Whistler. The location is perfect, beautiful, quiet, in the upper village, by the Blackcomb mountain. The studios are perfect for a small family, comfortable, clean, with nice views, and convenient for skiers and snowboarders. Breakfast is included and they make the best waffles known in town :)
