Nice hotel right by the skiing lift

Posted Jan 23, 2017
Overall the hotel experience was nice. They have hot spas, heated pools and saunas working during our January visit which made our getaway very pleasurable. Hotel room is nothing worth spending almost $500 per night though cause it feels like a typical hotel. Not bad but way overpriced.

Pros: All inclusive.
Cons: The only thing I would change is the parking fee was $40 per night ($36 if you self park), and we didn't need our car for the 4 days we were there. I
Location: Ski, eat and shop and the most amazing slopes and local pubs.
Excellent hotel with all the amenities to walk out the back door and ski. Ski rentals. direct access to slopes, food an shops. I liked the fact that we had to walk to the major shopping area because it was a beautiful walk with holiday lights in the tree on a beautiful and safe path.

Fairmont "sleighs" Christmas!

Posted Jan 9, 2017
Pros: Service and all the christmas themed activities
Cons: nothing
Location: nearby offers dog sledding, ziplining, snowmobile tours, in addition to skiing/ snowboarding.
If you want to do Christmas right, there is no other place than Fairmont Chateau Whistler. You will be treated to treats every day from maid-service, Santa & Mrs Clause, gala dinners, fun activities for kids, decorations and more! Of course the service is excellent, as with all Fairmonts, the food was particularly good at all the on-site restaurants, and I can see why so many people make this place their annual tradition.

Five star with a much better vibe than the Four Seasons. Super chill, great family spot & dog friendly.

Old hotel

Posted Dec 28, 2016
Pros: location
Cons: Everything
Location: Great restaurants in the village.
Badly needs renovation.. Torn carpet and cramped rooms. If you go there for ski trip be aware there is hardly any storage in the rooms. Extremely expensive for a hotel in this condition. They have way too many rooms and the elevators are always cramped. So are the restaurants. There should be a age limit for the kids that are allowed in the SPA area.. Too many small kids and out of control..

Nothing but Average

Posted Dec 22, 2016
Don't believe the hype, this hotel is not all it's supposed to be. We had a much nicer room at the Hilton in Whistler than here. Rooms are small, outdated and very noisy. We could constantly hear kids running through the hallway, people talking, doors slamming. Staff wasn't all that accommodating or friendly. Location is good for skiing but it is a good 10 min walk to get to the Main Village (not fun when it is 12degrees outside). The positives were that the bed was very comfortable, spa facilities nice, and breakfast buffet fantastic (comes with a steep price of $35/person). Other than that, it's a pretty average run of the mill hotel and nothing extraordinary. If you are going to spend that much you might as well go down the road and stay at the Four Seasons.

Best place to stay in Whistler

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Pros: Lots of staff and great with the kids
Just got home from our trip, had a great time. The service as always at Fairmonts was above and beyond. Beautifully decorated for Christmas with tons of staff ready to help. Also the location is the best for families, at the base of Blackcomb, but out of Whistlers main village which can be a bit of a party scene.

Fairmont Whistler never disappoints

Posted Dec 13, 2016
Pros: Staff, location, amenities, and the hotel in general
Cons: Nothing
Location: Located at the base of Blackcomb Mountain Skiing, Snowboarding
This hotel and its staff are amazing! We have now stayed there 3 times over the past several years, and have only ever had a truly memorable experience. The location at the base if Blackcomb Mountain is ideal for those skiing or snowboarding, and a free shuttle to the village allows for easy access to the shops, bars & restaurants. If you want the true Whistler experience, this is the hotel to stay at!
