Each staff member was excellent, obviously well trained which speaks well of management. The former Ritz-Carlton facilities are lovely. In contrast, the food at dinner was virtually inedible (4 dishes with two dining) and the wine (by the glass) undrinkable with a heavy, unpleasant metallic aftertaste. Breakfast fare little better.

It is certainly not a five star property which explains its lacking the Ritz name any more. Aesthetically the rooms and hallways are very cold as was the bedroom's temperature. There is little to recommend unless you are attending an event at the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful the rooms are well appointed and clean. The staff are professional and friendly. Valet parking is yuck and convenient. The hotel breakfast menu is decent with a fair variety of options, but it is expensive and service is painfully slow. There is one man working the take out bar and all of the tables by himself.

I do not feel this is a high quality hotel. The person who checked us in was not very welcoming, additionally I handed her my credit card and license and she put both of them on the counter which I feel is very rude. My husband and I both had spa treatments and they were good. I think the ac didn’t work in the spa. It was hot and uncomfortable during both of my treatments. The bed was ok, pillows not that great and the sheets were not a high quality thread count. We ordered room service and the food was not good. I didn’t even eat my order. Overall this place is not worth the money.

This hotel is centrally located in White Plains. A few points to keep in mind. If you are planning on venturing out during the evening hours, keep in mind that two homeless shelters are located close to Post Rd and Mamaroneck Rd where most restaurants and bars are located. Cops are constantly there every night. The hotel is a Marriott hotel that is located by the Ritz Carlton and with this in mind one would think that the hotel would be exceptional or even excellent. It is not. The common area floors are not cleaned daily. Food and liquid spills were present, the exact stains, for all four days of our stay. The handle to operate the shower was broken and we had to fit it into place each time we took a shower. The base boards in our room had green tape holding it into place. Stay elsewhere.

This is our 2nd time staying at The Opus. Our daughter goes to Fordham University & when we visit we do not want to deal with the hustle & bustle of NYC so we chose The Opus. It’s a short 20min ride and the location has a lot of great stores & restaurants. The hotel itself is very well kept, the room was immaculate & the staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend!!

The suite was large and clean with all amenities however the tv in the bedroom didn’t work.
