Nice hotel 40 minutes from Glacier National Park

Posted May 22, 2016
Pros: Very nice, comfy, friendly staff, free breakfast, enjoyable stay.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better. The website does not mention a hot tub but the lady told us that there was one. Would have been nice to know.
Location: About 40 minutes from Glacier National Park. This is where we were traveling too so this was most important for us.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge. It was very clean and comfy, the staff was very friendly and helpful and it provided everything we needed for a one night stay.

Great value in a wonderful Montana town

Posted Apr 13, 2016
Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms in a great location.
Cons: Electronic receipt process.
Location: Excellent locations convenient to shopping, restaurants, bars, and any outdoors activity you can imagine.
The hotel lobby was still under construction but nothing that interfered with our stay. Room were very clean and comfortable and couldn't beat the pre-season rates.

Comfortable and friendly

Posted Mar 26, 2016
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Could have dog clean-up bags out side.
Location: Near Skiing, boating, and Glacier Park as well as the town of Whitefish.
The hotel was great. Conveniently located. We were able to check in early. We had our dog with us, and they had dog treats at the front desk. I did not see any dog clean up bags anywhere in the area they said was for bets though.

Hi Mike, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a note on your recent stay. It is great to hear you enjoyed your stay. Sorry we did not communicate that the dog bags were at the front desk reception. We have started doing research on a Clean Up bag station that we will be adding to the pet area very soon. Thank you again for your feedback and thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again.

Convenient to skiing and town

Posted Mar 14, 2016
Pros: Everything.
Cons: I can't think of a thing.
Location: We went for skiing. The hotel is located right on the bus stop, and a short walk from town and the park.
Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, clean hot tub and pool. We will stay there again.

The entire staff was remarkable

Posted Mar 1, 2016
Location: The Lodge's own shuttle and the village snow bus meant we didn't need a vehicle to get up to the mountain to ski or get into town at night for dinner.
Nicole, Wes, and the entire staff were remarkable. They were friendly, responsive, and genuine in every way. They didn't miss a detail in accommodating our requests. They really show that they care about their guests and their guests' experiences. I've received far less service and value from some higher priced properties that pretend to offer much more - this was a welcome contrast and great value. The rooms, cleanliness, and condition were all very good. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms quiet. And their shuttle service was always responsive and timely - even being there to pick us up before our train arrived, and calling ahead of time to alert us that the departing train was running late. The easy access to the snow bus that runs into town and up to the mountain also was a great asset. Examine the photos - they're true to what we experienced. To my thoughts, The Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge is not a "true lodge" in the traditional sense if that is what you're looking for, but the staff and property come with my highest recommendation based on their consistently exceeding our expectations. No disappointments here. We definitely will be back in the future.

HI Keith, Thank you for staying with us at the BEST WESTERN Rocky Mountain Lodge in Whitefish. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to our staff. It is awesome to hear everyone did so well in service while you were here. You are correct on the 'Lodge' , with the updates, the 'Lodge' has feel is going away and becoming more modern. But the updates were needed and sometimes that happens. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you again. Kind regards, Mary Smith Sales and Marketing Manager

Great overall value

Posted Feb 20, 2016 on Hotels
We took the advice of previous reviewers and requested a room in the main building. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We enjoyed the heated pool and large hot tub. The free breakfast was great. Every employee that we came across was genuinely friendly and helpful. Add in a great price and this was a terrific place to stay.
