Cozy ski lodgePosted Aug 11, 2015
You will feel like you're in the Alps. Everything about it feels European, including the lack of an elevator

Terrible for summer stayPosted Aug 7, 2015
So expensive and so outdated. Shower had a trickle of water loft was very hot. Handle for the sink kept falling off. The bedding was still for winter.... Continental breakfast was a joke. Most expensive room for our nine day travel. Only spent 1 night thank god

very close to the ski resort. ski out/walk inPosted Aug 7, 2015
Pros: staff, and decor
Location: summer alpine slide, biking, hiking, lake, glacier park is 40 minutes drive.
we visited in summer, while touring glacier park. this is a lovely lodge, and we highly recommend it, however, for those visiting glacier, there are closer suitable lodging opportunities. for those who are looking for the alpine gettaway, this is a great place to stay with proximity to both the Lake and skiing.

Found a GemPosted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Very friendly feel from the staff, and great food.
Cons: We did question why the doors to the hot-tub, sauna and exercise room were open all night that had access to outside.
Location: The lodge is located within walking distance of the ski lifts at the top of Big Mountain. During the summer they have mountain biking & zip lines.
We spent five days at the hotel while visiting Glacier Nat'l Park and enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Because we returned late from the park most days, it was great having the Snug Bar where food could be ordered until 10 pm and it was fabulous food coming from the high end and very creative restaurant in the hotel. The lodge does not have an elevator, but staff is very helpful in getting bags transferred. The ski hills are within walking distance, and during the summer they have mountain biking and zip lines. There is a family feel to the lodge and you can find people using the couches and chairs by the fireplace and Snug Bar most evenings. It is an older building, but well maintained.

Good breakfast, however there is no elevator if you have heavy stuff to carry to the guest room. It's a bit far to drive to the Glacier National Park.

Cozy GetawayPosted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: A lite Continental Breakfast is offered. Rooms are clean
Cons: The parking at the Lodge is a little inconvenient for those who may be older or physically challenged as is room access.
Location: Lodge is located a couple of miles away from Whitefish which has a resort town character. Also located close to Glacier Park
Rooms are comfortable but a bit small as are the bathroom facilities. Accommodations overall I'd describe as adequate for vacationers who plan on spending their time skiing or site-seeing rather than relaxing around the lodge

Won't recommendPosted Jul 19, 2015
Cons: lighten this place up, it's like a dungeon. Replace the carpet and bedspreads. Staff isn't that friendly.
The breakfast is minimal, the facility dark, the bedspread heavy and awkward especially for summer. Could not find the lodge, because the GPS doesn't work in that area and there are No signs until you almost get to the facility. The carpet going up the stairs is filthy. Parking..... For the price of a nights stay we could of stayed a two very nice places.

Location: Close to whitefish with all kinds of outdoor activities. Skiing in the winter, swimming, hiking, biking in the summer.
Lots of activities anytime of the year. Hiking, biking, walking, etc. lodge was older but well maintained and had a cozy atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel on the mountainPosted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: We had a great room for a family of five. Main area with bath and bed plus a loft with 2 additional beds.
Cons: The loft stayed hot, even with the hotel-provided box fan. All menu items in restaurant were grossly expensive, although food was good.
Location: Hiking, zip-lining, lake nearby for water activities.
Two day stay in conjunction with visit to Glacier National Park ... nice place on the mountain. We showed after a long drive and were treated courteously by the staff. All in all a good stay at an attractive property.
