great facilities. I was surprised to see a new menu than was on their website. I chose the hotel because of the numerous Gluten-Free options they offer.....however they didn't have many simpler options for my teenage children, except very expensive steak

great location

Posted Jan 20, 2016
Pros: location was great, on the lake, as well as convenient to both town and the mountain for skiing
Location: Glacier NP is only 45 minutes to an hour away, we enjoyed the Ranger led snow-shoe hike they offer on the weekends
i loved the hotel, i did have to wait a couple of times for service but it was a holiday weekend. I was frustrated that i had to wait for someone to come to the front desk, only to find out they had run out of lift tickets to the mountain....

Pros: Ski bus to skihill
Cons: Plenty! as mentioned above
I was quite disappointed with the fact that we were unable to use hot tub at the supposedly open hours. Wanted to hot tub 7 AM prior to skiing, at 7:30 the tub still wasn't open. The maid did not stock our coffee each morning, we were there 3 nights and I had to get my own coffee each AM from front desk. On our check out day, my husband requested a luggage wheeled cart- they won't let him take one, saying staff would bring to our room- this never happened. For the amount of $$ we paid for our hotel, I was quite disappointed!

A nice place to stay

Posted Jan 19, 2016
Pool was kind of gross. I kept getting hair stuck in my fingers and toes while I was swimming. The room was very clean. I wish there was a front desk in the Viking lodge because it was a long walk for a 35 week pregnant woman to walk with her 15 month old son to check in and go to breakfast and check out. Overall it was very nice.

Great Resort Perfect Location! Staff is awesome!

Posted Dec 28, 2015
Pros: While we were there they had an "Ice Bar" out front with a fire pit and live music. Also free horse carriage rides which looked fun but we skipped it.
Cons: Adding more sound proofing to the 2nd floor would be ideal. The noise of kids running back and forth was a little much. Would ask to be moved higher.
Location: Skiing! Whitefish was recently awarded the 9th best resort in N America by Ski Mag. And it lives up to that honor. We were truly impressed!
We loved our stay here over the Christmas Holiday break. Here are a few things I think make this the only place you'll want to stay in Whitefish. 1. Location! It's perfectly nestled between the town and the ski mountain. The town is easily accessible via the free shuttle the resort provides to and from the mountain and town. If you miss the Lodge shuttle there is also a free SNOW bus that also is quick and convenient. 2. The cleaning staff. They were all so nice and accommodating. We put our "Do not disturb sign" out our first night (we had ski stuff everywhere!) and the hotel cleaning lead called us to see if there was anything we needed. 3. Brian & the rest of the drivers at valet! They were super helpful getting us all arranged with rides each time to and from town. But Brian definitely made an impression. 4. Hot tubs! There are 2! And it's a great way to meet people after a day of skiing. We didn't try the spa. We did try to eat breakfast in the Boat Club restaurant on our last day. But the food never came and we had to leave to the airport. There was a minor mixup in the kitchen or something. So that, and the noise from the hallway are the only two faults I can give the Lodge. We were on the 1st floor of the Viking Lodge so we heard all of the running and stomping of the 2nd floor each morning - starting at 4-5 am. We lived with it but wold ask for another floor in the future! The second floor is where the pedestrian bridge crosses the road so the 2nd floor is BUSY!

Very Nice Hotel in Whitefish Montana

Posted Nov 30, 2015
Pros: Very quiet clean rooms
Cons: According to the hotel staff, they need faster computer equipment
Location: Shopping in Kalispell, Skiing at Big Mountain. Quaint downtown with nice restauants
Stayed at this location to take advantage of the Thanksgiving Day buffet that the hotel offers. Very clean rooms, quiet location, very nice views of the mountains and lake.
