Sacks of potatoes for pillows; otherwise greatPosted Aug 26, 2015 on Hotels
The condo and the building were great, but the pillows were honestly the worst we have ever experienced. We are flexible, well-traveled, and do not typically complain, but it was like sleeping on a giant sack of potatoes.

Beautiful hotel, disappointing policyPosted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: Room was clean and furnished beautifully. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and serving our own meals.
Cons: Cancellation policy should have a shorter window than 30 days. Sheets and towels are rough and abrasive.
Location: Just about 5 miles from the town of Whitefish, nice views as you look out from the mountain on the way. But 45 minutes drive to Glacier National Park
The suite we stayed in was lovely, but it turned out to be much further than Glacier National Park where we planned on going every day. We wanted to leave 2 days earlier than planned but were told there was no refund for the unused nights, even when we called the week before. That was disappointing. Left a sour impression when we were unable to speak with the manager, always told he had just left or wouldn't be in till later.

Pleasant stay in the Montana MountainsPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Underground parking, elevators and very clean.
Cons: Nothing really other than the bathroom sink was in a very tight location. You would knock your elbows on the side walls while brushing your teeth!
Location: As I said above about our experience at the hotel, we were close to Whitefish, Kallispel, Colombia Falls and Glacier National Park where we spent most
Very nice location which was really for skiers but is just as much fun in the summer if not more! Chair lifts, mountain bike trails, hiking trails, luge ride. Spectacular Views!

winter ski tripPosted Jan 27, 2015
Excellent and very friendly property management staff. Condo was somewhat basic but also nice, and it was clean. Ski in/out and lockers were appreciated. Had fitness room and a roof top hot tub with a view. No complaints.

Awesome accommodationsPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Location of condo, room layout, quietness, underground parking - everything was easy and stressfree.
Location: The town of Whitefish is charming, with many restaurants, shops, bars. Huckleberry Days is exceptional.
It's always a little scary pre-paying for a room, sight-unseen. We were pleasantly surprised with these accommodations. I was traveling with my (2) 15 year old grandchildren. We had a master bedroom suite, a second bedroom with queen bed, a sofa-bed in the living room, along with a stone fireplace, 20 X 6 deck, second full bathroom, a fully appointed kitchen with granite countertops and washer/dryer. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, quiet, with beautiful views of the mountain side. Wireless access was a plus. We were at the highest altitude for accommodations (4500 ft.). There was a hot tub and grill on the roof, but we didn't have time to use either. We were there in the summer, and it would also be awesome in the winter. We were right at the trailhead for Danny Oh trails for biking/hiking. This condo is part of the Whitefish Mountain resorts - and very close to the Base Lodge, where there is zip lining, ski lifts, Alpine slides, tree-top ariel adventures, activites for little ones, and a cafe. There is a free ski lift ride, but we paid extra to go all the way to the top of the mountain - 6600 ft. It was excellent. We did the 5-zip line experience, for approx. 2 hours. There's also a 7-zip line. Overall, it was perfect for our stay. I highly recommend it.

We were very surprised that the hotel required a $45 per hour fee for daily housekeeping and to have clean towels delivered was an additional $25. The day we arrived, the temperatures were in the high 80s, the room did not have air conditioning. I guess on the upside, they did provide two floor fans and two desktop fans. Additionally, we had a family emergency and the hotel would not take phone messages. Overall, we were not pleased with our experience at Morning Eagle and would not recommend it to family or friends!

Great place to stayPosted Jul 31, 2012
Pros: Quiet, great view, plenty of beds and bathrooms, dvd and vhs player, full kitchen,
Cons: Master bed was old, No A/C
Location: Zip line, tree walking, gondola to top of mountain, downhill mountain bike rides, town is short distance, lakes are a short distance
Great ski lodge. We went in July and weather was mid 90s with no A/C. They did provide plenty of fans so we cooled the area down at night. It had plenty of space for 4-6 people. Parking garage under the building so car stayed cool. Checked in at the building next door which was handy. I really enjoyed the view of town at night and being away from town noise. There are activities on the mountain as well that kept us busy for a day. Overall nice experience.

Already planning to go back next yearPosted Apr 2, 2009
Morning Eagle is rental condo building not a true hotel. It is probably the newest and nicest on the mountain. There is no maid service unless requested. We didn't need it during our 6 night stay. Each unit has a washer and dryer so you don't need to pack as many clothes. There is a full size modern kitchen with complimentary coffee for the coffe pot. We loved the easy to use gas fireplace that kept the room toasty. Our only complaint was the lack of an on-site restaurant because places to eat in the village are scarce and menues limited, also the wireless internet was way slower than dial up and slower than my air card. The free bus downtown and free shuttle around the village were very handy and always on time.
