Worth the money

Posted Apr 16, 2018
A little difficult to find, and the hotel itself is a little confusing, but the room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff were pleasant and helpful and breakfast a little above your regular continental breakfast. We had our dog and it was only an additional $20 for him. We were concerned about the negative reviews, but we had a really positive experience. Would stay here again!

Stay FAR AWAY. Any good reviews are LIES

Posted Apr 14, 2018
So. The reviews are obviously deceiving because I booked the Ramada Inn Whitehall/Allentown for one night. (Tonight) — reviews were decent so I went for it. Checked in... got sent to our room. Whole upstairs hallway smelled of smoke/marijuana and had an overall unsafe feeling. Yelling coming from other rooms. People loitering in the hallways. Then we get to our room. I thought it was strange how easily it opened. We discovered there was no lock, a broken deadbolt, and dents on the door. Like someone broke into it recently. I asked to change rooms. We get in to room #2. Smelled kinda bad but we were tired so we started to get settled. Carpet was sticky. I don’t know why. I don’t want to know why. Bed had yellow stains on the sheets and pillows had black stains on them. Hair on the sheets. Food behind the bed. It was unbelievable skeevy so I begged my husband to leave at midnight. Have I mentioned the sketchy people that were hanging out here? Definitely some drug deals/prostitution/scary crap. We just checked into the Hilton Garden Inn. Much much better. Like night and day. The one star I’m forced to give is for the wonderful man at the Ramada front desk who helped me. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. Unless you like sleeping in a third world country... then you should book the Ramada.

Hotel reveiw

Hotel staff was friendly. Our room had an odor of old smoke. Light switch was hanging out. We had room 202. The pillows on the bed were very small. About size of small throw pillows.

We always stay at the Ramada in Allentown

Posted Apr 9, 2018
I recommended this motel to another American Legionnaire who was at the same dinner & meeting as my wife and I. Since I had a stroke, no bed except my own satisfies me, but the mattresses wear fairly new, as promised, so I slept OK, as did my wife. Not better than our own bed and pillows, but OK. My comrade was happy that he stayed at the Ramada also. The morning clerk was especially helpful recommending an alternate route since the Fullerton exit had been under construction. (You can get off Rt 22 northbound onto Fullerton Ave. now, but not southbound at this time.

Good value for the cost

The staff was friendly and quick with check in and out. The non smoking room still smelled a little of smoke in the bathroom so I guess a smoker thought they’d be sneaking and smoke in there. Room was minimal but clean. For the money it was good value just not plush

Tough place to sleep. Every three hours all the lights in the room turned on. Weird at first, then just really annoying. There’s better places to stay.
