terribly cheap

Pros: initially the price........nothing
Cons: new ownership, care and customer service.
Terrible, I booked the hotel based on the Expedia rating....I have no idea what how they got this rating. The hotel is located in a rough neighborhood, people walking around the parking area digging through trash with the hotel staff not caring. If you like: street noise, chain smokers smoking in front of your open window, people screaming at 11:30 PM then this place is for you. the coffee maker did not work due to missing parts, bathroom door could not be closed, beds old and cheap, tv remote missing batteries and back, challenging parking. "Breakfast included" is scheduled for 7 AM not 6, so in case you have to be somewhere go get breakfast somewhere else because 7 is more of a guess. The hotel staff had to be woken up by another guest calling them and 7:15 he informed us breakfast will be 10 to 15 to 20 minutes so 7 is more like almost 8. Left cell phone charger in the room, realized 30 minutes after leaving and called to ask for them to look for it, described specific location, called them again and we were told they could not find it.... its a cheap place, family run place whom seem tired and unmotivated to improve in order to justify cost. in this case you get less than what you pay for.

OK for a Night

Location: Whittier, CA. It had a Pizza Hut right next door and a good Taco shop right across the street. Driving distance to Disneyland
Room was spacious, clean and had a nice comfy bed. The top wall needed a paint job since it had what it seems blood splatter all over the ceiling. We only got one toilet paper for our stay & outside of the motel smelled like a sewer. The parking ou tback was also spacious and conveniently close. I can't complain for a one night stay.

Staff could careless about its guests. During check in clerk could careless to accomodate us, was rude at check in, after we checked in the front office calls our room n starts yelling at us, we were being dropped off by relatives and the front office assumed they were staying after 10 minutes the office calls again n my relatives had already left 20 mins later i was already sleeping n security shows up at my room asking to inspect it for extra guests, no one else was in the room but me n my wife, the front desk clerk showed up also to inspect the room. I immediately gatthered my belongings and left. Front office clerk could care less stalker just wanted to harrass us.

Travelodge Whittier Hotel

Pros: The friendly staff and being upgraded to a better room towards the rest of my stay which I appreciated making me feel more comfortable during my stay.
Location: This hotel was close to local shops which was ideal when I was low on food and drink supplies and had a good choice of restaurants also closeby.
On arrival, I was greeted by a friendly member of staff who kindly assisted me with check in and provided clear instructions to where my room was located. As this was my first time staying in a Hotel in Los Angeles, I felt the welcoming experience was satisfying and well informative which made me feel a sense of relief.

Hotel stay was as expected. Room was clean. No frills or extras. As said in other reviews, the room was kind of loud since it's on Whittier Blvd., a major street. Wasn't a problem for me though since I sleep like a rock. No complaints and a good value.

Pros: Read above.
Cons: Chipping walkways upstairs
Location: Good location. Didn't have time to evaluate things to do. Sorry
I enjoyed the bed. Very comfortable. No bed bugs which is extremely important to me. Thanks for keeping on top of that. The rest of the room was very clean. I appreciated the towels folded nicely. Shower had adequate hot water depending on the time of day. Upon arrival to our room, attendant was helpful and vacuumed rug perfectly. Curtains kept out lights at night. This was appreciated. The concrete walkways leading to the stairways are chipping badly esp. upstairs. Parking was good. Room lighting was adequate. Hotel staff were competent and friendly. Breakfast was good esp. the cereal. Coffee, juices, milk, and other pastries were good and appreciated. Keep up the good work! I will definitely stay here in the future.
