Property is a little outdated but rooms and common areas were all clean. Convenient to have a kitchenette and separate seating area from the bed. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was roomy with lots of counter space. Good breakfast selection. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here next time I am in Wichita.

The breakfast was excellent but the room will keep me from choosing this brand again. Residence Inn has always had a high standard. I have not stayed at one in awhile and decided to select this brand on this trip. I was disappointed that my room was not ready when I arrived at 5:15pm, after making the reservation at 1pm. The room was dirty: Shaved beard hairs on the bath counter, pubic hair on the toilet seat, fresh toothpaste spit (1.5" long) on the wall next to the toilet, coin-sized soft mold spots on the shower curtain, and dried drops of food sauce on the kitchen counter. There was no cover on the bath ceiling light, and silverware had been put away dirty. Some of these items fall in the "hey, stuff gets missed sometimes" category, but as a whole, they indicate sloppy housekeeping and inadequate supervision. Also, the $75 pet fee is higher than most hotels. I did know the fee ahead of time and accepted it due to my very reasonable room rate from Expedia, but I won't pay that high of a pet fee again. I stayed at 3 other properties (all different brands) on this trip, and they charged $25 or $20.

They charge for parking after being the priciest hotel on the east side. Smells throughout the halls. Creepy men bothering staff as you check in. Furniture is stained in several areas. Pathetic place for price.

Terrific Place
The beds were comfy and the room was nice with a fireplace! The only problem we has was the construction going on across the street that woke us up in the morning. Otherwise, it was a terrific place to stay.

Enjoyed the stay. Only complaints were the bed is way too soft for me, and the breakfast only had pork options for meat. Would be nice to have a variety for people with allergies or religious reasons for not eating pork.

The hotel was clean but dated. The bed in my pet friendly suite was the worst bed I have ever tried to sleep on. It was beyond firm, it was old and it squeaked when you rolled over. I ended up sleeping on the sofa in my room. I'm glad they allowed pets, but I could tell they only allowed them in certain rooms and did not care what previous pets did in the room. The refrigerator was scratched up, stains on the carpet, and curtains ripped up. I have stayed in other hotels that have allowed pets and they were nothing like this one.

Everyone on staff was really friendly. Breakfast bar was clean and well kept. Food was fresh and hot. Only complaint about cleanliness was our sofa had one Big stain.

How do you overbook a hotel?
Hotel was overbooked and they moved us to Springhill Suites only to be sent back because we were booked through a third party. There were several in our party that got moved. Room had 1 trash can in it. Carpet was worn.

My staff was good, mostly due to the staff. Very helpful, pleasant. the carpet in hallways and some of drapes were ripped and torn. I asked for a different room and was quickly accommodated.
