Great hotel.....25 years agoPosted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: The real positive was a very good breakfast buffet with real china and metal utensils; no plastic and Styrofoam. Got a 2 good nights rest and meals.
Cons: Lose the safety glass at check-in. Feels like checking into a prison.
Location: We were just passing through; this didn't interest us.
Having the check-in staff behind glass is a tip. Room is comfy and spacious, but hotel overall and rooms are obviously dated. Probably was a great place back in the 90s. Stayed there on the going and returning legs of a College Station to Des Moines trip.

Pleasant and welcomingPosted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Nice Pool and everything so convenient to restaurants easy access from freeway.
Cons: Carpeting in hall ways needs to be stretched as has a huge wrinkle down the middle.
Loved the seating in the room and so nice to have a kitchen. Comfortable beds. Few steps across the parking lot and two nice restaurants. Very generous free happy hour. Nice breakfast.

Close to highwayPosted Jun 20, 2015
Asked for an early check in a week before because we were coming in town for a wedding and did not receive it. Further, they gave us a key upon arrival and told us "you can go check the room to see if its clean". It wasnt and we were told to come back after 3pm. Luckily, we had a friend with another room that did get their early check in, so we changed in their room.

Passing through WitchtaPosted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Room was spacious, breakfast was good, breakfast staff was extremely attentive, helpful and friendly
Cons: This hotel has seen better days. In much need of a renovation. I'm sure this place was outstanding 20 years ago.
Location: It's conveniently on the frontage road from the highway. Very easily accessible.
Just passing through from Houston to Minneapolis. Got an excellent rate from Expedia Deals. This wasn't a bad hotel by any means and served its purpose well. For the money, I can't complain. It was a little weird upon check-in. I did arrive late, after 11:00' reservation was good, and the night clerk was responsive and friendly. What did put me off, was the fact that you walk into a very open and spacious lobby, where the large front desk area was all enclosed in glass, like at a bank or an all night convenience store. Got me wondering if I was in a safe neighborhood or not. Surprising, the glass was gone in the morning upon checking out. Hotel itself was very dated. The room while spacious, with a sitting area to watch TV and a kitchenette, but had a very tired look and feel, like from an 70's TV show. Bathroom was sparse and dated as well. Linens could of used a bit of freshening up. Bed was a king and so so on comfort.

Great value and easy accessPosted May 22, 2015
Pros: Clean and quiet--very essential when you want to get away from the daily grind.
Cons: Decor could stand an upgrade, but definitely comfortable.
Location: We were there to relax so "doing things" was not a top priority. However, it's near downtown, easy to get to, and close to good food.
This is a nice, quiet, clean place to stay. Most of the amenities and a very helpful, kind staff. We will definitely stay here again; it's a welcoming place to be.

Great rate for the area and for the cleaniness of the hotel. The rooms were a little out dated but they were clean. They also have happy hour on cocktails from 5-7pm.

This hotel was by far the best place for the awesome price we paid. Breakfast and happy hour. Felt like home. Will definitely be back.
