Basic economy class hotel with decent staff.Posted Sep 8, 2015
Ice machine out of order in mid summer. Staff offered to get ice for me. Greatly appreciated. Free breakfast (with meat) was also a pleasant surprise. Ample parking. Bedding was OK but the blanket was iffy. Otherwise, I got what I paid for.

It was wonderful as expected!Posted Feb 20, 2015
Cons: Nothing I could see.
Location: The downtown was nearby. We had just missed gold rush days. There seems to be a lot of land to ride horses on. Lots of shopping & places to eat.
The staff is so great at this hotel!! If we were to go to Wickenberg again we would definately stay no where else! The rooms are nice in every way! There was someone smoking in their room, but the staff took care of it. The ice machine was broke, but it was no problem for one of the staff to go to the kitchen & get me some. The breakfast is good, it has a good assortment of food & drinks.

OK for the money, but ...Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Location was good, ample parking, pleasant staff.
Exhaust fan in bathroom was most likely broken, as the sound was extremely loud. The arm fell off the one lone chair (a desk chair). There was a noticeable sewage smell in the parking lot. Never enough forks at breakfast, and the scrambled eggs seemed to be powdered eggs.

DON'T DO IT! Once a nice place, but no more.Posted Dec 16, 2014 on Hotels
We’ve stayed at this little hotel a few times on the way home after road trips from Las Vegas to Phoenix. Most of our previous visits to this motel were when it was flagged “The Wickenburg Inn”. We remember enjoying this place. We will NEVER stay here again. Since there is a relatively new Best Western nearby, just off 93 in “downtown” in the historical/business district, we’ll try there next time. It wasn’t the new desk clerk who had not been trained on how to handle Hotels.com bookings. No, she was very nice. It started with the room smell, old and musty. When we opened the nice-sized in-room refrigerator’s freezer door, my wife said, “I hope that’s a crack”, right before we discovered it was a hair. A long, black hair, hopefully (?) human. The bedspread was gross enough we didn’t even want to sit on it and took it off. We found the Housekeeper’s pre-printed gratuity envelope, with this handwritten note: “Maybe a leak in shower/no bar soap”. Looking into the tiny bathroom, there was bar soap, but a very long streak of mold visible, around the corner from where a long stretch of grout was missing. My wife would not go near it. The nighttime view out a sliding glass door showed lots of garbage near the patio, but not near as much was visible at night as the next morning. It seemed weeks of people throwing trash out their rooms had accumulated. The screen was off its track, laying against the outside of the window. Filthy patio chairs dared you to sit down.
