Good Location. Horrible accommodations!

Posted Jun 27, 2017
We stayed at the Beach Terrance for a long weekend. We stayed in what was said to be a 2 room family suite... which is completely accurate... 2 rooms. One bed right next to the door and refrigerator, the other 2 beds were in another room. Thats fine, works for a long weekend. BUT the room had a damp dirty feel.. the tile floor was not clean. There was food near the beds and behind the night stand. The bathroom was horrible. It was old, dark and just had a feel of dampness and was just not clean. Sadly, the front desk staff was not friendly... the desk is right in front of the elevator so they see the guests getting on and off but never look up, never said hello.... we had a fun family weekend in wildwood but will never stay at the Beach Terrance Motor Inn again.

Dirty room and toilet upon check in

Posted Oct 10, 2016 on Hotels
Hotels.com allowed me to book a night for a suite with three double beds at this location. I found out less than 10 hours later that this hotel is closed in the off season so they automatically booked me at their other location, the Caprice Motel, nearby. They said I would receive the same accommodation which I did not. The first room we were given by the front desk employee was a king and one double. Most importantly, we checked in to Room 301 to find broken curtains, outdoor furniture being stored in the room, a rumpled bed, soap out of wrapper on bathroom counter, dirty washcloths, and the sanitary tape for the toilet on the floor of the bathroom. The kicker...there was feces left in the toilet. So I tried calling the front desk which we had just left and as I am calling down there I see the employee calmly leave the office, oblivious to a ringing phone. I had to shout and wave him down. He slovenly walked upstairs where we promptly pointed him in the direction of the dirty bathroom. He saw it, scratched his scruff, and shrugged. He didn't even FLUSH THE TOILET. He just sort of shuffled us off to the next room down and closed the door. The toilet in the dirty room and the room itself remained untouched for our entire stay! The room we moved to was clean and sufficed for our one night stay but I think I paid more for a room at the other place than what the rooms at this new place were worth?

Decent Place!!!

Perfect location! Close to everything the Wildwoods have to offer. Friendly staff. Only one working evevator at the time of our stay and it was a little sketchy! Used the stairs most of our trip....hotel has 8 floors so this can be a daunting task! Overall was the perfect choice for us. Ceramic tile floors are the WORST in hotels!!! You can hear your upstairs neighbor slide chairs, coolers ect across the floor. WILL BOOK HERE AGAIN!!!

Manageable

Posted Sep 1, 2016 on Hotels
The room was spacious but not updated. There were no napkins or tea/coffee etc to use with the coffee maker. Rooms have central air whuch could notvw controlled when it gets too cold. We couldn't use the pool because it was cloudy and not clear. The view of the amusement area was spectacular.

We left 1.5 days early- hotel w/ confused staff

Posted Sep 1, 2016
Pros: Location, very close to the boardwalk and beach
Cons: All of the above
Location: We were at the base of the boardwalk with a far off view of the ocean. Lots to do on the boardwalk and we beached most of the day w/i 1 block of the b
Respectfully, Never again. The Elevator lift got stuck several times during our stay, TV and remote controls were in disrepair, the room telephone had no dial tone and was stolen from the Sheraton Hotel? Our reservation was for 4 nights and they deactivated our keys the 1st day, and we had to chase down new keys and a new parking sticker. The ceiling tiles were falling in especially in The bathroom, the dresser drawers left our clean clothes smelling like mildew, balcony chairs in disrepair, housekeeping forgot to leave towels and washcloths, and the smell of burning food and other questionable burnt odors continued to drift into our unit. Noisy upstairs neighbors jumping up and down over our heads and when reported, the ever confused front desk clerks said no one was booked in the room above us. We had enough and left 1.5 days earlier than planned- w/ no refunds allowed....we still left.

Once is enough!

Posted Aug 31, 2016 on Hotels
My fiance and I only stayed one night. Check in wasnt until 4:00pm and checkout was 10:00am. I payed for an extra 2 hours at $10 per hour for a late checkout. Of course the shower didnt work the handle was broken. When I called down the guy at the desk tried to give me a verbal demonstration on how the shower works, like I am an idoit. Then he tells me that it was working yesterday, as if I had broken it. Long story short, I wont go again.
