I am sorry that you had a bad night. Another guest called the number that is on the door, and management came to stop the noise shortly after you were down to the office area. It is very rare that there are overnight issues like this in the off season when we do not have overnight staff. We send a message that states we only have office hours 9-5 and 9-midnight on weekends. The noise started just after our staff left. Also, your reservation said that there is no meal included with your stay. I tried to call you on Saturday, but you were working at the show.

We are sorry to hear that you might have been woken earlier than you wished to the noises our improvements were making. We do not close the hotel in order to do our renovations but we do always intend to do them at decent hours of the day. Unfortunately, your stay coincided with a contractor doing work on our walkways on the floors above your room. You were not the only guest staying during this time, however, as you noticed we are not very busy during the week in November which is why we aim to do these types of jobs during those less busy days before the weather no longer permits it. We would love to have you visit us again when we are not doing such intrusive work and would love to extend a complimentary night stay during another off season week of your choice! We will try to reach out with you directly regarding this issue.

With no comment from Matt as to why his stay deserved a 2/5, we can only assume he was not fully aware his "Tiny Cottage Room Separate House" would be in a small house on our property. Even the name of the room explains this fact to a "T." With all the great FREE amenities we have, our fantastic location, our clean and very safe rooms, without more information, we do not feel our property deserves a 2/5 rating.

Thank you for the kind words about our property! As you found out during your stay, our off season pricing is fantastic and gives you a great chance to enjoy our property. Wildwood is certainly a very seasonal town and there are many things not available during the offseason. James,I am not sure what you were expecting from a hotel in Wildwood during the off season. We are open so that people can attend events at the convention center, but we also have to do renovations. We send a message that states that there is not much to do in Wildwood. You didn't mention what you didn't like and you did not discuss any problems with our staff. So simply leaving a low score doesn't help anyone, especially when most guests rate us very highly.
