don't let the appearance deceive you!

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: the room itself.
Cons: definitely the whole outside of the hotel, but then again, it is in a very small town.
Location: there is a small convenience store like less than a mile away, a gas station almost next to it. and the freeway is practically next to the motel also
So, i booked this motel online, and honestly i did not know what to expect. I was in a business trip and had to book a room in the last minute. So when i arrived to place, let me just say, my first impression was, holly cow, where did i end up coming, to my murder place haha... a young shirtless guy was the receptionist, very friendly, the motel looked all, and as if people were actually living in each room. the parking lot had a few stuff that did not help. anyways, when we entered into the room, that was a total different world. It was really comfortable, spacious. it has microwave, fridge, a small living room area, and even a small kitchen counter... yep, it felt like i rented a studio.. will i stay here again? absolutely! the price is very affordable.

Compared to the Ramadas we stayed in

Posted Jun 12, 2017
Compared to the Ramada Inn we stayed in the next two night, Norris motel was terrible! No amenities, no swimming pool or hot tub, no free breakfast, not even a Continental one and then upon leaving we were threatened with a nasty note on the ice machine that said, If you take more than two room buckets of ice, you'll be charged an extra $20! And I paid more for this! NEVER AGAIN!

Poor conditions

There was no coffee pot in the room. The air conditioner had to be plugged in and then it never kicked off until you unplugged it.

Way Too Overpriced

Posted May 29, 2017
Reserved 2 rooms for an overnight stay. The night clerk was very friendly & he checked us in fairly quickly. Room had a wet dog/carpet smell. Photo in the picture frame was fades & peeling away. At 5'7" could not take a decent shower as the shower head height is for someone much shorter. Shower head would not stay upright so had to hold it up with 1 hand. The morning clerk did not come out of the backroom when we were checking out. Just yelled to put the keys in the basket. My guests were visiting from out of town & had the 2nd room. Also agreed room was overpriced. For $100 a night, this was drastically overpriced

Priced higher than for what it provides.

Pro: Convenient location. Quiet area. Linens and towels were clean. Cleaner than some places I've been. Nice staff. Con: Uncomfortable beds. Shower required maintenance. Very little amenities in lobby. Carpet dirty in corners and wall edges. Lingering smell in room. Worse lingering smell in lobby. Only deadbolt security for door.

Open curtain can make the room very bright. The Serte mattress is only one month old, we are sorry that you are not like soft mattress.

Good priced hotel close to the Grand Canyon

Posted May 19, 2017
For the price I payed, this was a very nice hotel to stay in overnight. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was also only an hour away from the Grand Canyon.

Awful. So awful it is funny!

Posted Apr 18, 2017 on Orbitz
The Norris Inn has become the butt of many a family joke. We call it "The Norris Experience". It is now synonymous with accommodations that are beyond the pale. When we got there and asked to see the rooms we would be in, the (nice) Chinese lady clerk who didn't speak English very well said, "You can see it but you can't get your money back". That was our cue that "The Norris Experience" was going to be important touchpoint in our collective futures. Yes, it is a dump. That being said, the sheets were clean and the mattress was surprisingly comfortable. It is a one story, wood-frame, old-fashioned motel. When someone in a room along the entire line of rooms walks across the floor it could be heard by every other room. Rickety -- and just hope there isn't an amorous couple next door to you, or a teething child as the walls are paper thin. While we could not recommend "The Norris Experience", we left the next morning clean and dry and full of laughter.

Old, clean but dated, decent size room, on original RT 66 if that matters
