    About this property

"mint To Be" at Tropic of Cancer Beach. Previously Known as the Orange House

Waterfront vacation home with kitchen and balcony
Mint To Be is a 20 minute drive from George Town. Located on Little Exuma, where you can really enjoy the island life! The large upstairs veranda overlooks the most beautiful beach in the Bahamas, the Tropic of Cancer Beach. The one and a half mile stretch of beach is great for walking, swimming or just lounging as it is never crowded. Kayaks are available to venture out to turtle rock and other areas. The house sleeps up to six people and is fully equipped with everything you need except food and bathing suits. This is a very safe and quiet environment that is off the beaten path. Absolute paradise! You are going to come to Tropic of Cancer Beach for a day or two and eat at Santanas a couple of times anyway. They are MUST DO on Exuma. Might as well stay here. You will be glad you did! 23°26'19"N75°35'54"W

        Paradise

From start to finish, this vacation at the Orange House was pure bliss. The house was comfortable, clean, well equipped with plenty of towels beach chairs and three different outside decks with which to watch the sunrise or sunset. It’s proximity to Tropic of Cancer Beach was great... a two minute walk to the most beautiful beach. We cannot think of a single negative to this house. Everything was exactly as described and the owners were great in responding quickly to any questions we had prior to our arrival. We all agreed that we want to return to Orange House

            Little Exuma Paradise

Wonderful home located in the best part of Exuma. Safe, quiet and steps away from one of the best beaches you’ll ever sink your toes in. Super hosts very responsive and accommodating. The river style Kayaks were a bit of a challenge to paddle but they got us to island and back again.

A Wonderful Place on a Gorgeous Beach

We own a small private aircraft and the past five years have visited many of the Bahamas out islands several times each year.. Our nine night stay on Exuma in the Orange House has, no doubt, been one of our favorites. Firstly, the owners are prompt and attentive. We had answers to our questions within minutes. After booking, we added an extra night at the beginning of our stay, then while we were here, we added an extra night the to end of our stay due to weather. The owners are simply great to work with. The house itself lacks nothing. The decor is a blend of rustic, tropical and modern. I loved the hardwood floors. It was clean, well equipped, the hot water was hot and the air conditioning was cold. (although we didn’t run it in excess). We prepared most of our meals, but having Santana’s close was a plus. The kitchen and gas grill were more than adequate. We stopped at the meat market (on the right) for nice steaks and other fresh meats, and many grocery items. Then we gathered the rest of our grocery items and fresh produce from one of the grocers in Georgetown along the way. The location is ideal for an ultra short walk to a fabulous beach. As others have mentioned, the upper patio is great for relaxing in the shade or sun-bathing and has nice views. If you don’t need to be in “the thick of it all” and enjoy some solitude and a great beach ... this is the place for you! Like the owners say, “If you are staying on Exuma - you ARE going to drive to Tropic of Cancer Beach and eat at Santana’s... so why not stay here?”
