Aussies from Austin

Posted Aug 18, 2016 on Hotels
We stayed 3 nights. A comfortable 10 minute leisurely walk to the market square along a picturesque street to get to the towns attractions. We met some other very nice couples during our stay. The inn-keepers (owners) were lovely and very knowledgeable with tips and places to see etc. we would recommend this place to other couples.

The Whitehouse B&B Williamsburg

This B&B is located less than a mile from Colonial Williamsburg with plenty of parking, beautiful grounds and attractive colonial decor. The owners are friendly and offer exceptional breakfast in the dining room. Highly recommended for couples.

Lovely suite in well decorated, Edwardian house.

Posted Nov 13, 2015 on Hotels
Edwardian era house, beautifully decorated ala 1776. Washington Suite: sitting room, bedroom, bathroom. Breakfast just adequate, in quantity and quality. Hosts unobtrusive. House about 5 minutes from the center of town, located across the street from the William & Mary campus.

UnPresidential Suite

Posted Oct 31, 2015 on Hotels
This B&B grinds the Presidential theme into a hokey mess in order to garner a premium that is not deserved. Our room was good sized and well appointed with furniture, but pillows were miserable and the TV dated to the Nixon administration. The bathroom was decently clean but the carpet was worn. The breakfast was fine but not worth meeting a schedule to enjoy it.
