Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff Great breakfast.
Cons: Could be cleaner and more attention to detail. Missing shampoo- clock and phone not working.
Location: Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown a big draw to this area
Comfortable and convenient. Visited one night to go to Jamestown. With husband. We were greated by a very nice person who checked us in and gave info on hotel and area.

Nice Hotel

Posted Sep 22, 2017
After Bush Garden it was nice to not have to drive far for a hotel. It's about 3.7 miles from the attraction so the hotel is at a Great location. It was very quiet . The breakfast had a big variety of items, but the potatoes were yuck... to much thyme or rosemary it wasn't my taste. Overall, I would stay again.

Good for the Price

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: Breakfast and Staff.
Cons: The musty smell
Location: Got the hotel because it was close to Busch Gardens.
Hotel is a little old, musty smell in the corridors. Our room was okay but can't speak for other rooms. Parking was plentiful and area clean. Pool was closed when we went. Breakfast was good. Friendly and helpful staff.

We are sorry to hear that with all our recent humid conditions that the hallways during your stay smelled damp. We are pleased that your room seem okay. It is unfortunate when weather in the south causes situations like this to arise. We thank you for stopping with us in Williamsburg.

Great Staff, Price, Location & Room!

Posted Sep 11, 2017
We were glad to have chosen this Carlson Hotel for our 1-night stay 9/17. Cindie was extremely friendly during check-in as she handed us a Williamsburg travel magazine with a plethora of coupons inside. The room was clean, shower water pressure awesome and bed comfy. Take note that there is a train track right across the street. We heard the gentle sound of a freight train pass by but there were no horns sounded. We didn't mind the train. For the great rate we got, we highly recommend this hotel.

Good location, Good service, Not-so-good Condition

Posted Sep 9, 2017
The location is perfect between Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Unfortunately, the hotel is in rough shape and feels much more like a motel than a hotel. The rooms are nothing like typical Country Inn & Suites...very bleak and plain and overall outdated. The sheets had stains the pillows were tiny (no standard sized pillows, just 4 small ones). It did the job it needed to do, but I'll probably search elsewhere in the future.

just ok

Posted Sep 6, 2017
Pros: the entire staff
Cons: rooms need updating and makeup mirror and in room safe
Location: good location 2 miles from downtown Williamsburg and about the same from Busch Gardens
The staff (front desk and Housekeeping) were excellent and made you feel welcome. The hotel itself it OK but in definite need of some updating. New carpets, furniture equipment and bedding. It was comfortable but tired. It is well located between downtown Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. There is no in room safe or makeup mirror and only one elevator. This make getting to your floor and leaving your floor a challenge on busy weekends. Hotel was mainly families and had lots of kids running around. Breakfast was the basics not a full buffet

Pros: It was quiet.
Cons: See above.
Location: OK location near Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown.
Several problems: Two out of three nights we did not get clean towels. Three out of three nights we did not get coffee or coffee cups replaced. Three out of three nights we did not get our bedspread put back on our bed. We wondered if the sheets had been changed. We don't think so. Most importantly, though: Our room door was practically impossible to open or close. There is no way an elderly person or child would be able to open the door in event of a fire. We had to kick it open and closed. Very dangerous!

Nice stay

Posted Sep 4, 2017
The hotel is very close to Busch Gardens and has friendly staff. Only complaint we had was the breakfast...runny eggs, runny grits, stale donuts and danishes. Aside from that we enjoyed our stay and would stay again without depending on hot breakfast.

Carlson Williamsburg is Great

Posted Sep 2, 2017
Pros: Just about everything. Breakfast included - not the best, but certainly adequate, Nice outdoor pool.
Cons: Nothing really stands out.
Location: Perfectly situated near Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, Quick and easy access to Jamestown and Yorktown
Really had a great time. Excellent service, friendly staff, clean room, and you can't beat the price and location. This was my second stay and I hope to visit often in the future.
