Worst EVER

Mold, hard bed, AC noisy, cigarette burns on comforter, pillows were dirty, dirt in tub...

Spring break

Really enjoyed the indoor pool and that it was close to Colonial Williamsburg.

The room was 2 star hotel at best. The only convenience is that it is down the street from Busch Gardens.

not worth it

Pros: The location to historic Williamsburg.
Cons: The temperature
Location: Old Town Williamsburg
The hotel is very inconsistent with temperature. There is constantly pockets of cold, drafty areas and overly heated areas. The hotel is also very old and smells musty and dusty. The staff was very slow and not very friendly either. The construction was a turn off and doesn't not seem conducive to holding large conferences, dispite the size.

Dump. Renovation work not finished.Staff rude.

Stayed there for conference. Renovation supposed to be finished but was not, attendees not informed of issues.Everything about the facility was gross.Plywood duck taped to concrete floor partially covered by area rug for walkways-buckled with 2+ people walking on it. No restaurant in the building.Food brought in for breakfast dry and insufficient for # of people Box lunch sandwich-box would have tasted better.Ten degree swings in temp. Staff surly, clueless. Room fridge had rust on inside surfaces.Room key issues, no insulation between rooms, Noise! Room not vacuumed.Lights flickered constantly in meeting rooms and guest room. Parking lot filled with broken curb pieces and construction debris.Staff removed my luggage from room sometime between 8am and 10:30 bc they "thought" I had locked myself out with luggage still on the room. Technology in meeting rooms malfunctioned. Odd smells and sounds throughout .Not enough space to list all the horrors.

Don't Stay here

Hotel is full of Mold and everyone had allergy outbreaks ..dirty , under construction ...I will never return .

Lost our reservation and lots of construction

I'm incredibly disappointed with this hotel and the service we received. We went to the Magruder for a dance conference, so our choice in hotel wasn't very much of a choice. We reserved the room months in advance, but showed up and our reservation had been lost. The staff were fairly useless in finding it and I'm still trying to work out all the problems with that. The reservation was confirmed and paid for, it was lost on either your or their end. In addition, the actual hotel was completely torn up and under construction. We had to walk entirely from one end to the other to do anything. There wasn't food available and because we had booked through a 3rd party we didn't get a voucher for breakfast and had to spend even more money on it. The carpets were gross, there were whole sections that were blocked off due to construction, and we were just generally disappointed. The rooms were clean and average sized, but the cons definitely outweighed the pros.

the hotel is under a much needed renovation and the restaurant in the hotel was closed a lot of noise and no place to park
