overnight stay for water country

Posted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: location
Location: Captain George's for dinner!
We booked last minute so there were not too many options for us. This was the only 3 star available. The hotel staff was not attentive when we arrived. They were able to switch us to a non-smoking room which we appreciated, but the room still smelled bad. We paid extra for the breakfast in the morning and it was terrible. So bland and gross. I had a small bite of everything, but that's it. None of it was good enough for a second bite. If they can do something about the smell of the rooms and step up the breakfast this hotel would greatly benefit.

Outdated hotel with a well known name

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Overpriced and outdated. Need to keep flip flops or socks on when walking in the room. Lack of air circulation in the rooms requires the AC to be cranked up all the time. OK for an overnight stay alone, but not for an extended period for a family of 4. The two most annoying parts were the air quality, and the fact you couldn't get the soap residue off your hands or body when washing. Next Busch Gardens trip I am looking elsewhere for accommodations. Staff were friendly though.

Nice hotel and good location

Posted Aug 17, 2015
I was actually surprised cause the room was a good size and clean. However when I tried to take a shower the water was leaking. The hotel staff did take care of it and get us another room.

Disappointing

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Good location
Cons: Just about everything!
We checked in at 6:30 PM after a long day at Water Country. Thank goodness our room was ready since the two families that tried to check in before me were told that their rooms were not ready yet! The hotel was nice enough for a one night stay but I would not recommend it for any longer. The pool and hot tub area were run down and didn't even look safe in places. One of the ladders had caution tape wrapped around it. The hot tub water looked very dark and I would not allow the kids in it. The room was ok but the pillows on the bed were awful! We paid extra for the breakfast bc it seemed like a good deal. Mediocre at best. Most of the food trays were empty and after waiting patiently for them to be refilled to no avail, I had to ask for several items. I would not recommend it. I had to take the kids to a drive through as soon as we left the hotel. The staff was nice enough but overall this hotel was a BIG disappointment!

Do not stay here

Posted Aug 10, 2015
This is not a holiday inn, it is a motel 6 in poor condition. Did not clean my room and after said just change sheets and new towels, still did not do that. The pool area is decrepit with cracks, no where comfortable to sit, and they did not keep towels in the pool area, when told them no towels, was told was washing them. It's to the point of dangerous with the pool area. Beds were awful, and got a rollaway that was v shaped when opened. Never again..

Not worth the money

Posted Aug 5, 2015
The room was out dated. We plugged in our phone charger and sparks shot out of the outlet. We usually stay at the Courtyard Marriott for the same price. The facilities are much nicer, newer and more accommodating. The staff was friendly, but i was very disappointed in value we received versus what we paid.

Do not visit this hotel!

Posted Jul 26, 2015
The hotel looked very old and dirty inside. The lobby was air conditioned, yet the second you walked into the hallway or elevator, it felt like an oven. The halls were extremely smelly. We had our room air condition set at 60 degrees, yet it never became very cool and the air conditioner kicked on and off loudly through out the night.

Nice Hotel Close to Outlets

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Closeness to outlets.
Cons: The dining room and food.
Location: The location was great, close to outlets and interstate.
The hotel was okay. It needs some updating. I saw a huge water bug in the bathroom.
