Needs a lot of work

Posted Nov 10, 2015
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly.
Cons: A lot of minor repairs thru out. Better job cleaning. MORE LIGHTING! IT IS VERY POORLY LIT!
Location: Great location. Close enough to Williamsburg but not so close that you feel suffocated.
Very disappointed in this hotel. First of all we got there late at night so it was dark outside and the parking lot, and stairways were VERY poorly lit. Staff at check in was friendly but paperwork was confusing. You have to initial a spot accepting the nightly rate but there was no rate printed. Outside doors were marked with signs that said they were locked 24 hrs and you needed a room key to enter which was not the case. The door opened right up. Then our room key would not open our door. Tried several times, several different ways, before it finally worked. This issue continued thru out our stay. Safety lock on the inside of our door was literally dangling. Toilet would not flush. Filth and guck was piled up behind toilet. Door frames were busted. Carpet was filthy. Blanket had a stain. A lot of scuff marks, dings, chipped paint all around the room. Just generally in need of a lot of minor repairs. Bed was a memory foam and very comfy. We reported the 2 major repairs and they were handled in a timely fashion. But the general vibe of this place is just dirty. You could tell that it had just been painted but paint can only do so much.

Derzeit (Okt. 2015) Besitzerwechsel.

Property needs work

Posted Nov 4, 2015
Pros: Good location - within two miles of Colonial Williamsburg.
The location is good - very close to Colonial Williamsburg and the Parkway to Jonestown and Yorktown; unfortunately the property is in dire need of updating. The carpets are worn (actually worn through to holes in some places) and we had a big section of paint peeling off in our room. We were not comfortable here.

Hotel near Colonial Williamsburg

Posted Oct 26, 2015
Pros: Quiet hotel, comfortable beds, not far from town, windows open (I like fresh air) Cons: a bit run down, could use updating. No thermostats, just very old heating/cooling unit.

Nice place to stay when construction is completed

Posted Sep 3, 2015
Pros: The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable about the area. Plenty of parking and the pancake house was right next door. The indoor pool was great.
Cons: Close down while construction is going on. Tell the guests not to order pizza from the restaurant advertised in every room, the pizza was really bad !
Location: Perfect location, close to Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. All the restaurants deliver to the hotel but ask the hotel staff which ones are good.
We did not know the hotel was under construction. The noise woke us up way to early. One day they shut the water off without any notice. The air condition in the room was very loud and the bed was not to comfortable.

About my stay

Posted Aug 12, 2015 on Hotels
We were awaken during the early morning about 2am because of a domestic dispute between another guess. I notified front desk and they said they would check into it. They apologized for the disturbance.

Damp, mildew, no coffee

Posted Aug 11, 2015 on Hotels
Room was damp and smelled like mildew. In-room coffee maker didn't work. Coffee maker for regular coffee at free breakfast had a big "under repair" sign. Are you kidding me? A hotel with only one coffee maker for regular coffee and it's broken?

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Stay on Bypass road. Its not far from Busch Gardens or Water Country.
First of all, expedia had it marked as pay at the hotel or pay now. I selected pay at the hotel but they still charged me prior to my arrival. The hotel is going through renovations, I guess turning from La Quinta to Mayfair. The elevator wasn't working. Luckily, our hotel was on the second floor. The stairs and room were rundown. Our air conditioner was turned on high but our room was still warm. The room had a weird scent like old chlorine water. The food in the brunch was horrible, the waffles had a weird texture, the sausage patty and eggs were steamed and tasted nasty.
