Was "ok" for one night

We were supposed to have a non-smoking room, but the one we got definitely wasn't non-smoking. The rooms are in need of updating; while some to the sleeping area looks to be newer, the bathroom area needs work. The light fixture in the bath had nicotine stain on the glass. The room had an odor and smelled of old cigarettes, which came home on our clothes. We were staying one night and the room was cheap - you get what you pay for, I guess. The only good parts were that the staff was nice (though a little rougher around the edges) and the breakfast was decent and included. It "worked" and we had a place to sleep, but I won't stay there again - it's worth a little more to stay in a nicer place. Also, no microwave or fridge in room.

Our reservation had been checked in already which was incorrect. We went to our assigned room and someone was already in it. The rooms need updating. Yet extra sink outside the bathroom was a plus. The breakfast was all carbs. I didn't see any healthy alternatives. No fruit or protein.

I am not sure about the check in you spoke about but please allow me to apologize that is not ever a good thing, I will look into it immediately. On the other note, We do have Apples, Oranges & Bananas as well as Yogurt and Oatmeal in the breakfast area. We apologize if it was missed.

Location: Local to everything we wanted to see
Staff very friendly I did expect a fridge in the room and had to go to another floor for ice

Thank you for taking the time and letting us know about your stay. We do have 3 ice makers in total, however you are correct so do have some people traveling to another floor to retrieve ice. We have 1 full floor "TOP FLOOR" that have refrigerators and Microwaves. Might I suggest that for your next stay!

close to attractions

Pros: everybody was very friendly and the hotel was close to dining and attractions
Location: the location is perfect if you come to visit Bush Gardens, Plantations, water parks......etc
everything was just perfect. close to everything we have planned. the personal was very nice and the rooms were comfortable

The hotel staff were excellent and helpful. The cleanliness was horrible. I had to request a new shower curtain and have the bathroom cleaned again. The rug also had gum or jelly stuck to pet of the carpet and couldn't walk without shoes. Location wa great to bush gardens and restaurants.

Close to Busch gardens

Bed comfortable. Room clean. Breakfast room over crowded. Selection limited. One small bar of soap for 2 people for sink and shower. Room on 1st floor. Close to pool. Noisy traffic in hallway until after 10 pm

We do have extra amenities available at the front desk as well. With the pool and vending on the first floor sometimes it does stay busy. We do hope you would stay with us again!

Close to Colonial Williamsburg.

Everyone was friendly. Made my 2.5 year old excited by acknowledging her. She's outgoing and loves when people talk ro her.

Nice hotel near Colonial Williamsburg

Location: great location near Colonial Williamsburg and Historic Jamestown only about 20 minutes away.
The hotel was nice, the day clerk wasn't too pleasant, a bit snobbish. A Train track runs just behind the hotel several times a night the LONG trains go by which is not very good got sleeping.

not good but staff was great

Pros: Staff was great and it was close to attractions.
Cons: Breakfast, shower pressure and temperature.Safety of the window in rooms and the ac/heat unit should function to the best of ability.
Location: Train track was right behind hotel ( no info about the train tracks right behind hotel). but close to a lot of attraction , food , and shopping.
The room was good, comfortable bed and pillows. But too close to train. The tap water was terrible and shower pressure was bad.

Clean hotel nice staff

This is our last minute decision and we were easily checked in! Great price and convenient amenities! Very clean rooms, very helpful friendly staff, and we loved it so we decided to stay for a 2nd night!
