Great Location!

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: Location!
Cons: New pillows for the bed. They weren't too comfy.
Location: We ate dinner at Trellis and toured Colonial Williamsburg, which was a 5 min walk. William and Mary's beautiful campus was across the street.
We had a wonderful stay (not long enough) in the Cedars Suite. Are room was very clean and cozy. The staff was very accommodating and polite. The best part about this inn is the location! It's so close to everything you would want to see in Williamsburg! Colonial Williamsburg, William and Mary, and lots of great restaurants are a very short walk from the Fife and Drum. We are already planning our next trip!

Quality and Convenience in one location.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The B&B is conveniently located within blocks of Colonial Williamsburg and the accommodations are unsurpassed.
Cons: After 5pm check-in.
Location: This B&B is within walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg and within a short, beautiful drive to Yorktown and Jamestown.
Friendly and knowledgeable hosts, coupled with excellent accommodations and location, made our visit to Williamsburg most pleasant and memorable.

Excellent Location

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
Location: Shops
Location was perfect. Colonial Williamsburg 2 blocks from hotel and many shops and restaurants on the way to site. Parking was walking distance and really safe. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Stayed in Jamestown room and it was exactly as it was described in website. Comfortable bed and updated bathroom with great water pressure. Good breakfast and freshly baked cookies in evening. Had a wonderful time exploring and seeing Williamsburg. Highly recommend to anyone that wants a perfect location in center of Colonial Williamsburg.

Great location. A little difficult climbing the stairs on the way in and out. However we thought the place was great.

We had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay again! Our hosts were knowledgeable and gave us great tips on the area. Breakfast each morning was the perfect way to start the day. The room was clean and comfortable, the perfect place to rest after a long day sight seeing.

We loved our stay at the Fife and Drum. We checked in late and there was no problem getting the key or access to any of the amenities at the inn. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished. The location cannot be better - right in the middle of everything. We loved it; I would definitely stay at the Fife and Drum again.

Pros: breakfast, helpful and friendly owner, lovely rooms, very convenient
Location: Colonial Williamsburg, Wm and Mary, are extremely close. Short drive to other attractions, 1 hour drive to the beach.
Very nice B & B. Charming. 2 blocks from William and Mary and 2 blocks to Colonial Williamsburg. Coffee and yummy chocolate chip cookies available throughout the day. All the rooms were decorated to be consistent with a Colonial theme.

Excellent Location-Great Breakfasts

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: rooms could be larger-BUT the location more than makes up for the "intimate" rooms
Location: Everything is within walking distance, there is even a coffee shop two doors down, and a great restaurant across the street.
Out the front door and you are in the Merchant's Square Mall, short walk to Colonial Williamsburg (I mean short). Excellent breakfasts, very knowledgeable host, Bill gave us great recommendations for dinner, and told us a lot of what was happening during the week. This is the 5th time we've stayed in Williamsburg, we will stay at the Fife and Drum again.
