Everything was amazing. Room was awesome the staff was awesome the scenery was awesome. The location was amazing. I will definitely be visiting this location again very soon. It’s so very relaxing. The price was also very reasonable for all of the amenities

Mini vacation

Pros: Great location and well kept.
Cons: Some of the rooms need to be updated.
Location: Shopping, restaurants and movie theaters near by.
Great location, near restuarants and shopping. My family and I went after the snow storm just to get away and relax. Our stay is always great; the grounds are well kept and the rooms are well kept. (Always ask for the newer rooms)

Home away from home

Entering the resort immediately puts you in vacation mode. The friendly staff gets you on your way quickly and efficiently. The rooms are clean and comfortable. My family and I stay at this resort a few times out of the year. We always enjoy ourselves and look forward to our next stay.

Checkin was outrageous!

Even with 5-6 people checking in at the counter, it took us 56 mins to get checked in, way too long. I felt exbad for people with small kids and the elderly. They need to update their computer systems, it takes them way too long to check people in, no matter how friendly and polite the employees tried to be. Glad I wasn’t counting on being checked in at my rightful checkin time of 4pm. Then they wanted us to pickup a gift, meaning go stand in line and wait some more at another counter and listen about purchasing a resort from them, no-way! Then, three hours before checkout on our third day the entire resort lost power, we were unable to cook our planned meal at the apartments’ full kitchen. So we ended up trying to find a breakfast place on New Year’s Day that was open to accommodate my family and praying the waiting time wasnt “too long.” So yes, the checkin time was past the promised time, but checkout had to be on the dot, very unfortunate. I’ve stay here every year, will be finding a better place next year, did not have a good experience.

No POWER

We were without power for 7hours!!!!. I was so upset ,cold and frustrated. All they did was apologize. It was New Year's day. They also took my phone number to call me back with any possible accomidations and of coursw No CALL just like we had NO POWER

Dominion Power was working as quickly as possible to restore power. We also called each and every guest offering room moves. clean hotel but aging

Hotel room is fully functional, Met our needs but is aging. It appears that the value line has been crossed where due to the aging interior versus the higher costs; I can’t recimmend staying here anymore

OK hotel close to a lot of activities.

Pros: Closeness to activities and historic places, affordable prices.
Cons: TVs, musty smell, stains removed off walls and furniture
Location: Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, etc.
I would have given a four star for overall experience but the morning of checkout, the power went out (so no heat, electricity, hot water) and it was extremely cold. The front desk was extremely busy that morning dealing with the power outage. Check in and the staff were fine, no problems there. We only stayed a night and checked in late so it served the purpose of just being a place for us to sleep. The room itself and probably the majority of the rooms there need to be updated. There were stains on the walls and furniture and a musty smell overall in the place. We didn't use the TV much but they need some updating as well, the coloring and quality was off. I would still recommend this place if you're only staying a few nights or so. We spent the day in colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens so the only time we were in the room was settling in for the night.

Longest check in

Hotel check in was horrible! The longest & worst check in ever... I waited about an hour and half! Check in is at 4pm I arrrival 20 mins early and did not get to my room until 530pm!!! I definitely recommend them to figure out an easy and faster way to check in. Overall the room was nice and clean. The check out was definitely disappointing.

So so stay

Pros: Location
Cons: Clearer booking instructions
Location: shopping, history, fun park
Somehow, my booking of two ROOMS was billed as booking two UNITS. When I checked in I cancelled the extra unwanted unit. However, I was denied refund or credit for giving up the unit. I am disappointed and will not book with this place again.
