Older hotel needing updates

I didn't feel comfortable as far a security while sleeping. The door to the room was not flush to frame and you could see the outdoors. There was no chain on the door as a deterrent. I slept with a chair against the door. My last day, my used towels were removed housekeeping but not replaced. However they replaced them after my call to the front desk. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. There's no parking lot as you have to park on the narrow road outside the rooms. Overall, if I had to stay again, I would but no longer than a quick stay as the places I wanted to visit and the restaurants were super close.

Convenient, quiet, economical, and clean. Bathroom was tiny. No counter space. Food did not seal so room was drafty but heat worked good to make up for it.

Very nice staff

I was there for a doc's appointment. I ended up with a severe migraine the night of our stay. We didn't get back to the room until after 1am. Checkouts were at 10am and I REALLY needed to sleep. They were kind enough to extend our check out until 12 noon.

Noisy heating machine

Pros: Nice, cozy, wide rooms, confortable beds
Cons: Better heating machine to avoid noise. If my machine would be shut off, the neighbor room will be too loud that I can hear also.
The hotel is very well located close to shops and restaurants, but far from the historical site. The rooms are very wide, nice and clean. For us the only inconvenient was the heating machine that makes lot of noise and we not sleeping very well.

Should have told us this was a time share

Pros: The staff was friendly and courteous.
Cons: Bathroom sinks should have vanities so toiletries would have a place. There was only enough room for toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Location: The location is only about a mile from Colonial Williamsburg, and is also close to a variety of restaurants.
We should have been advised that Westgate is a time share. When we checked in we were told that the continental breakfast we were expecting was only available to those who would sit through a timeshare presentation. We had requested a room in the main building, but instead were given a room in the villa. The bathroom had no tub. I have a disability and the shower had no grab bars, so I felt very insecure about falling. The shower also had no shelves, so we had to leave our soap and shampoo on the floor. The microwave oven was not plugged in. The telephone was unconnected, with no place to plug it in. The alarm clock was not connected. The air conditioner filter was clogged and looked like it had not been changed in years. We told the staff that our porch light was out, but no one was ever sent to look at it.

Wonderful Stay!

Pros: It was close to the points of interest including: Colonial Williamsburg, William and Mary, and Busch Gardens.
Cons: In our opinion, nothing could have been improved.
We arrived and were welcomed at the front desk by, Divine Fraser, Joan Crocker, and Jasmine Glassco. They were so so kind and hospitable. It was my birthday,and on this special day, they gave my husband and me an upgrade and went out of their way for us.The villa suite was lovely in every way. The resort is close to Colonial Williamsburg, William and Mary, and Busch Gardens. We could not have had had a nicer place to stay. Everything was perfect for us!

Convenient location, comfortable and affordable

Location: Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William and Mary are down the road.
The rooms and grounds are well tended and comfortable. I would have preferred a small couch, but the cottages (the former Princess Anne, for long-time Williamsburg visitors) have limited space. I picked this to be in walking distance of the College - it's about 1.2 miles to the stadium from the cottages. The price was great, the staff friendly, the rooms clean - it was just what I was looking for. I've already recommended it. For what I wanted, it was 5 stars - the "4" is only because it's a not a high-end luxury hotel, even though it was great for me.

Great spot, that is only going to get better!

Spent a couple of nights here, and was really pleased. Staff was on point. Friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The amenities were not over the top, but the price point was great, and they exceeded my expectations. In the midst on an expansion, that will up the establishments experience, when done. Very pleased!
