I would love to stay here again

Posted Jul 7, 2015 on Hotels
I loved the house and the staff/owners were welcoming, loved the complementary goodies and drinks that were set out. The wine room was a nice touch. Breakfast was wonderful. Only complaints are the bathroom in the Red room is Very Small if you are a large person like my husband and my self you may want to ask for any of the other rooms as they all seemed to have nice average size bathrooms. Also parking is challenging, the parking lot is not large and you can not park on the street with out a residents' pass. But I would definitely recommend this B.&B. and I hope to be able to stay there again.

House was beautiful. We were in the red room. Beautiful but small. The bathroom was very small. Everything was super clean, the downstairs was spacious, beautiful sitting areas outside.

Wonderful Inn in Convenient Location

Posted Apr 27, 2015 on Hotels
Our family recently stayed here and it was a wonderful experience. The manor is beautifully kept and quite homey, with a location that can't be beat - just a ten minute walk to Merchants Square and Colonial Williamsburg. Rooms are on the smallish side, befitting of an early 20th century house. The outdoor space is gorgeous, with a lovely garden. Every morning we looked forward to Maggie's amazing homemade breakfasts and every evening, we looked forward to digging into the complimentary sweet treats - especially my daughters. A great place and I would stay here again if in the area. I'm typically a city 4-star hotel type, and contemplated staying in Richmond then driving out...so glad we didn't do that and stayed here instead!

Great B&B near major attractions

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: It would have been great to have firmer pillows but that is just a minor thing. Overall, very good.
Location: William and Mary is just across the street. You can walk to Colonial Williamsburg.
The breakfast was excellent - the best meal we had in the area. There were drinks and baked goods available all the time. Great location. Can walk to William and Mary as well as Colonial Williamsburg.

The Williamsburg Manor

Posted Nov 18, 2014 on Hotels
The breakfast was wonderful and the ambiance of the bed and breakfast was very inviting. The Red Room was too small and the bathroom was way too small. We should have been told this up front when we could have selected a different room. Other rooms in the Williamsburg Manor were very nice.

Best Gourmet Breakfast I've Ever Had In My Life!

Posted Nov 3, 2014 on Hotels
My wife and I recently stayed at the Williamsburg Manor B&B and had the best time ever! The "Bed" & the "Breakfast" were amazing! We had a gorgeous house to enjoy with all of the modern amenities while at the same time feeling as if we were remotely enjoying a vacation away from the stresses of modern life. The staff was AMAZING and made the best gourmet breakfast I've ever had in my life! All in all, we didn't want to leave. Another AMAZING feature was their professional one-touch coffee, latte, cappuccino machine. My wife and I looking forward to using that awesome coffee maker at least 3-4 times a day. Sometimes even before bed! It was that good! We staying in the blue room. :-)

Close to all attractions

It's a lovely place, nice gardens, a little over-decorated for my taste but pretty. The best part is that it is walking distance to both the College of William and Mary and Colonial Williamsburg, so that one can park the car on arrival and not drive again until one leaves. Reasonably priced, too. One note: the Red Room (Benjamin Powell Room) has a very small bathroom; even a slender person would find it small, but a person of size would be quite uncomfortable. The other rooms' bathrooms are larger.

Great B and B

Posted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Location and atmosphere
Cons: Tiniest in-room bathroom I have ever seen, but it was workable.
Location: Within walking distance of William and Mary College and Colonial Williamsburg
This is a lovely B and B within walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg. The breakfasts had great variety and were delicious. We enjoyed the snack and beverage area, too. We met travelers from Europe and the US.
