Nice personnel, but dirty room

We stayed there last year and were pleased with the new décor. We went again this year and the tub was filthy, the sheets did not smell freshly washed, the bathroom door and light switches were dirty. The management seem nice, but they really need to check behind the cleaning staff and require better work of them or hire new ones. I mentioned to the manager that the curtain rod and the towel rod were coming out of the wall. He said that the bathrooms were being upgraded but that they hadn't gotten to our room yet. He offered to put us in one of the better rooms next time. They have nice fresh waffles for breakfast and good coffee.

The only real wrinkle in the entire experience was the change in the fees following a correction to our travel dates - a third party website gave us one quote, then got the dates wrong. I contacted the hotel directly to amend the dates, but was told only the website could correct it. After cancelling the original reservation and making a new one, Customer Service quoted us a higher rate. We were in a corner... Hobson’s Choice, we paid it.

Looks are really deceiving

Room pictures online look very attractive but when I got there, did not meet my expectations. Next time, I'll choose based on QUALITY and location.

Convenient and Clean

If you want a well priced, clean and decently located place to stay- then this is it. Since I had my own car it was really easy to get to both the beach and the city of Wilmington. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful and nice. Good place.

Terrible

Outlets not working. TV had no channels. Refrigerator not working. AC not working. Horrible. Wouldn’t let my pet stay there.

Clean room at a decent price

Pros: all first floor rooms
Cons: Rooms should be checked for repairs - both chairs in room were broken and a picture had come off the wall and was leaning up against the wall.
If visiting Wilmington, I would recommend this motel - front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean but in need of some minor repairs - but overall good price for a clean room in Wilmington.
