Only stay if your desperate for a room.
Its a Hotel 6………. Pros…. Clean, friendly staff, Popeyes Chicken nxt door. Cons…… old, stinks, lots of broken things in room, pillows are smaller than a wafer cookie, front desk has no access to housekeeping after they leave. So if you ask front desk for anything its a NO!! Like i said its a Hotel 6…. Although if the Manager had a better work ethic, this could be a nicer, better run Hotel 6. Alot of little things a good Manager should care to fix or replace.

So, TV is analog and not digital. Bed not comfy. Walls thin. No bath, just a shower head on the bathroom wall. A/C cuts out. Needs to be updated. It was, however, very clean. You get what you pay fot i suppose.

It is an older motel. Clean, but the large bathrom vanity is showing it's age. The door to the unit does close and deadbolt. There is a gap at the bottom and door tilts inward. Staff are fantastic. We would stay there again.

Was extremely disappointed in this property. Black mold in the shower. No elevator and locked door to stairs was broken and property management did not put up a sign. Staff just laughed in my face when I brought issues up. And large commercial trucks with air brakes come through to eat at restaurant in front past midnight.

ROACH MOTEL
I knew they had recently renovated and thought id give it another shot. The rooms do LOOK nicer without the orange walls. But, both beds were one wrong move from breaking and incredibly LOUD. Every toss and turn from one would wake the other up. And then, my worst nightmare with traveling occurred, around 1am during a loud bed wake-up we notice there was not one, but 2 ROACHES climbing the wall my partner ended up having to kill. Considering I spent almost $200 for one night, this is absolutely insane and disgusting. The roaches have been reported to licensing and inspection because the girl at the front desk had literally zero reaction, like this was an every day occurrence for them. I will NEVER again!! I do have photos that are not attaching here, but will gladly share with whomever!

I was genuinely scared staying here
It felt like it got worse the longer we stayed. Pictures did not match the website booking. There are literally open holes with insulation exposed in the hallways. You could see the speckled holes that were “patched” in our room. Our sheets had cigarette butt burns in them. The room reaked of cigarettes. And I’m pretty sure both box springs had dried blood on them…not to mention the one doorway to lead out of the motel had a huge crack in the glass. It looked like someone was trying to bust into the motel security door. We left as soon as we possibly could.

I liked the fact that the staff even smh house keeping where very professional and even though my children and I where going through a rough situation he made us feel very comfortable during our stay. The female African American braids in the middle Mohawk did not communicate, was very unprofessional and acted as though she was not aware of howto provide customer receipts than sent in to be very sarcastically smart. She made my children and I very uncomfortable and did not feel safe

If we were druggies or pimps, we would have enjoyed this place. Thankfully, we're neither and couldn't wait to leave. Wish the reviews had been more honest and wish we had driven a little further to stay for the night.

I have stayed in many motel 6's so I don't expect the Ritz, but this was dirty and smelly. Supposedly non-smoking room reeked of smoke and some sort of strong fragrance trying to cover up smell I guess. AC unit extremely noisy and poor. The person right next to the unit get air blasted on them while no one else gets any air at all. Not the greatest neighborhood. What is up with Newark DE hotel/motels? They are all either super expensive or super sketch, or overpriced and sketch like this one.

You get what you pay for. Lots of construction on neighboring buildings. Room was run down but clean. Refrigerator worked which was a plus. Overall if you are looking to stay at a cheap Motel and don’t have high expectations then this is an OK place to stay.

This property is under renovation. I have stayed at Motel 6 many times without issue BUT even under renovation, there were no bedspreads on the beds, sheets had stains, walls were stained and dirty (I’m sure will be addressed with paint due to Reno). Bathroom toilet paper holder was broken. There was no shampoo, only soap. I asked front desk if they had shampoo and was told no. There was also a distinct marijuana smell when opened the door to the stairway. Floor in room had been updated, but needed to be swept or vacuumed. Hopefully once the Renovation is finished it will be better.
