Excellent & friendly staff

From the moment we walked through the door until the moment we left, every staff member- from the front desk, to the cleaning staff, to the shuttle driver, etc. -was extremely friendly and helpful. Well Done. Keep it up!

Good pet friendly place to stay for snowbirds

Great location

Easy check-in, spacious, immaculately clean room. Parking spaces were very tight. The restaurant seemed understaffed.

Perfect for a visit to Wilmington

Pros: Location, cleanliness, staff
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Staff couldn't be more helpful or friendlier. Room was clean and pleasant. I could have stayed many more nights and been just as happy.

Some of the hotel staff were not very friendly, people had too many guest in their rooms, overcrowding in pool with people who were not permitted in pool because they were not guest,- I had five guest in room like the reservation stated but only had enough towels and washcloths for three people , I had to call down six times the front desk lady just kept saying ok they on their way in a rude tone like I was bugging her, I finally walked down got a nice person to bring the blankets and towels up for me, the plain clothes security is very rude questioned me about how many kids I had when I only had four but people were coming in with 20 kids having parties. Oh yeah cupcakes are not permitted along with a list of about 10 other things

It wasn't like the first time

Pros: The hotel staff was friendly
Cons: Updating on the rooms; particularly the furniture and bathrooms.
Location: The location appears to be in a clean, quite and safe part of the downtown area; which is why I picked up for my family
My first stay in this hotel was back in May of this year, which was for business. This visit was a family trip, my wife and 3 kids. I didn't have much of a problem checking in. We arrived after 10pm for a quick overnight stay on our way up to Philadelphia the next morning. We booked a room with 2 queens and a pull out sofa bed. The five of us head up to the room, open the door to the room, and one would think that a group of people smoking marijuana left the room 2 minutes before we arrived. The smell was so strong, we knew that literally, some one or people had to have been in the room recently. Of course we go down to the lobby to report it. The receptionist was very accommodating. She worked diligently to find me another comparable room. Unfortunately, she only found a room with two doubles instead of a queen. I'm 6'4, 225 lbs, so the double size bed did not work well at all for my wife and me. The room had other issues. There were cracks in the tile on the bathroom floor. There were loud squealing noises when you turned the shower on. The top of the night stand had decaying, bubbled up wood. Had it not been so late, we would have cancelled our reservation and tried another hotel. Add to the fact I booked at the non-refundable room rate; so I felt stuck. I have to say, I spend a considerable amount of time in hotels due to my line of work. Whether this was for work or with family, this was not an impressive display by the Sheraton.
