Average hotelPosted Sep 13, 2015
The hotel was very basic for the cost. No wifi in the room. Bathroom had mould around the bath, overall poor value for the money

Lovely hotel just a bit out of the wayPosted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: Third bed was firm and not a pull-out chair.
Cons: Clerk at checkin a bit ditsy
Location: Walk into town is lovely. Cathedral shop makes a great cappucino.
Our room was very comfortable for the three of us, even wth the extra bed pulled out. Nice beds. Setting is lovely.

Hotel was OK for one nightPosted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Breakfast and comfortable bed.
Cons: Better value meals
Location: We were there for a hospital appointment nearby.
Excellent breakfast but dinner was over-priced and the steak was tough. House wine was nice and staff were friendly. A disability room was provided o ground floor which was gratefully received. Overall the hotel was ok but not great.

Stay at the GrasmerePosted Jun 27, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed there before so knew this was the one for us. Close to bus stop so easy to get into town. Views of the cathedral were wonderful. Quiet location and very nice accommodation.

Typisch englischer Stil, sehr zum empfehlen, in Gehdistanz zum Zentrum und liegt im Grünen

Lovely bed and breakfastPosted Jun 18, 2015 on Hotels
The room was spacious, comfortable and pleasant, with plenty of parking. The staff was helpful and friendly. Good location: it is a short walk to the cathedral close. The only negative was that we were told the dining room closes at 9:30. We went down at 9:00 to have a cup of coffee and a dessert before bed and were told the dining room was already closed.

Good location, nice room, a little noisy.Posted Jun 1, 2015 on Hotels
Nice room, only stayed one night. Comfortable, clean, good location (10 minute walk to cathedral and city center/market). Only downside - we were right next to a stairwell and could hear people opening the door. It sounded like people were trying to get into our room, but they weren't.

A Charming stayPosted May 31, 2015 on Hotels
10th Wedding Aniversary couple of nights away. We've stayed here before, (many years ago) . Lovely quiet location overlooking the river meadow with views of the Cathedral Spire. We had a room with a 4 poster bed. I like decent blackout curtains for a good nights sleep , good shower to wake me up , & a decent English Breakfast , I was not disappointed, all were great!
